I was up at 5:30 Sunday taking photos. Great light and few people around!

Same here. :) Got up at 5:30 and noticed that the light was just coming up and there was still some fog rolling in. That's why I didn't take the time to get dressed, just put on my shoes and grabbed my camera. :D

Nice Reading photos! You have a lot of the parade. In the shots of the Air Corps guys on the Jeep, I'm with the 30 cal. and my son is sitting on my left. In the Jeep "Burma Belle" my daughter is wearing the yellow Red Cross dress. I made the "Donut Factory" sign for a friend.
Which unit are you with?

Oh, yes, I took a ton of photos of the parade on Sunday. Reason being, I had a very large blister on the underside of my heel which made walking painful. So I found myself a good spot and stayed there, taking pictures of all of the different vehicles as they lined up. :D

I was at Reading with the 1st Special Service Force. For most events, my husband and I register either as Dogs for Defense (our primary display is the history of military working dogs) or field with the 10th Mountain Division (the museum crew out of Fort Drum, NY, not the crew in Colorado that does just Camp Hale).

Your presentation sounds interesting! I like to see the less familiar aspects of the war presented to the public. With your username I thought you were part of a German group.

The user name comes from competitive shooting, actually. I used to compete in Vintage Military Bolt-Action Rifle, Open Sights with my 98k. Haven't in a while but I still like to head out to the range and put some rounds through it (and my other guns). Shame there's really no 3 Gun in New York (where we're currently stuck) due to the retarded gun laws. I used to really enjoy 3 Gun.

Hubby does 6th SS since we have the most references of their use of working dogs in the war. Plus the fought around my hometown (Saarbrucken) at the end of the war. Oh, and I have a little website about the history of the League of German Girls - www.bdmhistory.com - if you know anyone interested in that aspect of history. :)

Briefing Time. We were probably taking photos at the same time!

We probably were. Only a couple of people were up that early in the morning and they were all out with cameras. :D I think I was still wearing my PJs at the time.
