Adirondacks by MauserGirl Adirondacks by MauserGirl
A view across the Adirondacks, as photographed from Whiteface Mountain.

My husband, our dog Ronja, and myself hiked halfway up Whiteface this past Saturday and got some great photos in the process. We greatly underestimated the incline of the trail, which wasn't a big deal until the weather went, "Look, loads of clouds all of a sudden, it's gonna RAIN! Muahahahaha!" at which time we decided to turn back. :D

We had some absolutely gorgeous views on the mountain - totally worth the 3 hour drive to get there plus the hike up that steep incline. Sadly, the bright blue skies we started off with were covered with clouds by the time we got that high up, so the sky is looking all washed out in the photos. :(

It's still a wonderful photo! Thanks for taking it! It lets me see places I might never see in person, haha!

The Adirondacks are lovely. If you ever get a chance to travel out here, make sure it's in late spring (May) or summer (June / July) because it's cold and snowing the rest of the year!
