Zaki SJ by Suichi

Virtually all of my coloring jobs after that piece of Dean's have been Suichi Tanaka's art. This is a video game character named Zaki. I know nothing about it, but the design intrigued me, both the jacket, and the gag based on the ninja mask. I asked for a couple of color references, and this is the result.

This is the first coloring job where I learned to properly use layers for highlights and shadows. I got much better.
