Hi!
Well, this message is just to say that I've just decided to unplug my deviantArt (and Facebook too) everyday from now on but Mondays and Thursdays.
Why? I feel that I became very addicted to this website, and it's taking out my precious time that should be used to learn, practice and create art.
Of course, I've been learning a lot with all the amazing arts in dA, tutorials, critiques, tips about books or other websites, comments, contests and so on. But I need a limit to really apply into practical use everything of that.
So, if you don't get an answer of mine so fast, just remember this decision, and please wait a couple of days.
And then, Mondays and Thursdays will be also my days to submit new artworks. I hope they will get better and better. By the way, the process to submit stuff on dA and to all the related groups I've joined (and putting them on my Facebook too, translating descriptions to Portuguese), oh, how it takes time...
Update:
[Well, today was my first Monday in this scheme. And while I succeeded in not coming here through the weekend, I spent too much time here today. So, I think I need an even harder rule: it´s decided that I´ll be allowed to come here just before 8 a.m. and after 5 p.m.; and in this last case, just if I managed to work/study/create for at least 8 hours during the day.]
Update 2:
[First Thursday in the scheme! Yeah! I managed to be off dA through Tuesday and Wednesday! It was so tempting, but I could accomplish my target. Really good. I had been sad because I wasn´t dedicating myself enough to study or create art last weeks... But now I could! My productivity got much better. This proved to be really the right decision.
Oh, and in this week I also could submit my first novel to 9 publishers by mail! (Last week I had sent to other 8, by e-mail!) Time to go back to one of my other 10 book projects, eheh. I hope I can finish and publish some of them in some years...
But... Today I realized that I need to add one more rule: I cannot come here overnight, after 12 p.m.. So, the "before 8 a.m." is ok just if it's already really morning, daylight. This rule is to prevent me to spend all my night over 12 p.m. on dA, as I was almost doing now... Eheh.]
Update 3:
(May 6th)
Well... I passed through April almost entirely forgetting this rules. Maybe I should try again, in behalf of working more on more arts, both visual and literary (and on my Japanese studies too, eheh). I think I´ll try from now on coming here (at least to publish stuff) just on weekends now! Weekdays mean days to work and create!
See you around! Hugs and cheers!

Selection of literature for animal rights book!
Hi! I´m inviting every writer in the world who cares for animals rights sake to submit your creations so we can publish a book about this issue! This book will be at least an e-book in Amazon, but I´d like to make a printed version also.
You can send your literature until January 31st 2014. The length of the text should be of about 8,000 characters (with spaces), which means about 1350 words or a bit more than two pages. You can submit a longer length text or more than one work, but then you should contribute more for the project (read more below).
And make sure to know what I mean by animal rights: it´s the abolitionist a
Results of the 2nd Arts for Animal Rights Contest!
Hello, dear friends! Finally, we have the results of the 2nd Arts for Animal Rights Contest - https://mauriciokanno.deviantart.com/journal/Arts-for-Animal-Rights-Contest-2013-351750213 ! A total of 26 people I trust in (about their engagement on animal rights) voted, and you can see below what they preferred!
Before reading it, please, notice that all the arts we received are so beautiful! Some arts received more points because they were preferred over others, not that the others were not good. Maybe some weren´t communicating enough about animal rights, in spite of they are very good arts, for example. Or maybe not the way people liked... A
Arts for Animal Rights Contest 2013!
Hello! I´m officially starting right now the Second International Arts for Animal Rights Contest (IARC)! The first one was in the first half of 2012 ( http://mauriciokanno.deviantart.com/journal/Results-of-the-contest-Arts-for-Animal-Rights-293635351 ); there was also a contest for human rights, in the second half of 2012 ( http://fav.me/d5fvbp3 ).
Your challenge is to create (or offer, if made since 2010) a nice piece of art supporting animal rights, doing your best to show to the world the importance of respecting ALL the animals (you´ll likely focus on just one or some of them, but I mean, please c
