I have been artistically-inclined for as long as I can remember, and hope to remain so. Sadly I have not yet found a way to make it work for me financially, or at least enough to make me less dependent on day jobs, which would of course give me more time to be creative! I have barely a few hours a day to myself these days.
Another obstacle is atmosphere - ideally what I need is a quiet, live-in artist studio where I have the extra space for my art and photography. Unfortunately here in the Boston, MA area, this is so far financially out of reach. I fully intend to find it though!
Most of my current work is more photography-based, but I intend to learn both Illustrator and my Wacom tablet to get back into drawing and bring it more into the 21st Century. Usually I would scan my drawings and work from there. Really an unnecessary extra step these days if you think about it.
