The Adaptation Wallpaper

I had submitted a slightly less colorful version of this image last year, but never got around to adding any textures. You can see that version here --> bl00m.005: the white remix.

I was actually quite happy leaving the render as is, but not too long ago orenSOB had asked me to render a more colorful version for a CD cover that he was working on.

And, this is the result.

Modeled with Maya, rendered with Mental Ray.
