Photos of landscapes, waterscapes, skyscapes, sunrises, and sunsets are all a dime a dozen, but *great* photos of such subject matter are much harder to come across. This piece is certainly a great photo. I love the way that you have incorporated all three elements of land, water, and sky. That combination in this particular piece really plays well with the variation in colors.

The one thing I'm not particularly fond of is the general composition. To an extent, it may have been necessary in order to get the desired angle for the reflections in the water. But on the whole, since almost everything is centered in the view, and because of that large boulder in the foreground, it all draws the eyes to the center only, and downward. This makes the whole piece come across to me as a bit heavy overall, instead of fully balanced. That may have been your intention, but I personally prefer pieces that encourage the eyes to naturally and instinctively travel over the whole piece.

Not having ever been to this place, I can't speak to the limitations of the terrain. But I wonder if the piece might not have been better (at least for my personal aesthetic) if you had positioned the camera so that the boulder was offset further to the left or right, and rotated the camera so that the mountain peak and the cloud colors were offset the other direction.

All-in-all, though, an excellent photo, and I'm glad you've shared it with all of us.
