I actually have to say; I don't like giving all over 5 Stars, but the Impact it had when I clicked it, I thought I was going to fall from my Chair, I never had this Feeling.

I never in my Life saw something that showed me so much Emotion, not in Movies, not in Art. The Light, the Matresses and everything else is just Perfect. I especially like the Angle the Picture is in, and the rows of Beds make it look...They add this certain Feeling, and gives the Picture the right Touch.

Although I have to say the critique before me is right, the middle Window really through me a bit off. It draws the Attention to the light side, but the Theme is abandoned, isn't it? So the Window is a bit off in this stunnind Piece since it makes the Viewer wonder: How's the Outside?

But the rest was; P-E-R-F-E-C-T.

I really feel weird giving you five stars everywhere... but I really feel like I could give nothing else to this incredible image. The emotion is so powerful I just stared for a moment seeing this. I don't know that I've seen anything quite like it, even though "abandoned" is a popular theme in the art world of late. Still, somehow, even then, I cannot get over the beautiful detail of the folds of the bed, the grime on the mattresses, floor, and walls, and the utter feel of abandonment.

The rows and rows of beds and the angle in which you showed them really grabs me. You really do a good job with perspective and taking into account the shape of the room. The lighting is not glowing, which would be much less interesting, but there are interesting lights and darks from the windows and the back of the room. It really makes for an incredible mood!

Really, the only thing that could slightly be nit-picked is the middle window section, which is a bit brighter than the rest and draws the idea to the outside rather than the beds. I don't know what I'd do about that... my first instinct is to keep it as it is because of how the light plays about in the rest of the room.

Thank you very much for this piece. It really is the first of its kind I've ever seen on dA, or anywhere else.

This is so great, it's depressing.

Looks like a digital painting as well.

The contrast of blues, yellows and greens make the picture very warm and "toney" to the eyes. The rugged sheets and water dried ceilings just make everything so grungy-lly beautiful. Just wondering where you took this from? Looks like a good scene for Walking Dead <img src="…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/> anyway, good job, you captured a lot of emotion here, it really strikes me. Hope you get Daily Deviations for these. The sheets remind me of a movie Johnny Got His Gun. It was also used in the MV of Metallica's "One," it was about a man who lost almost everything in the war, his legs, arms, feet, face, everything. This shows the same feeling

It is a lovely shot, but, oh the subject matter! You can feel the strange sadness of this place, it almost reminds me of old TB hospitals, but a little less medical.. It's never the buildings themselves that get me, it's always the things inside of them, humans by nature move and change, but when you see an empty glass on a table, ashes in a tray , or in this case, cots with blankets still on them, it gives a haunting Pompeii effect, as if someone didn't know they'd never be coming back.

I know you don't answer questions on locations, but do you answer questions on techniques? Is this HDR or do you adjust the shadows and highlights from the tonal range of the camera?

So dramatic... I couldn't avoid the sound of The Schindler List Main Theme inside my head. Congratulations...
