Fixed the angle of the digitigrade stilts. 30 degrees now, and I think I need to put a 2x6 or something on the bottom, since I don't have a huge amount of stability. I'll put up a vid on YT next time I get a chance.
that's all for now. Just an update, I know. Don't kill me yet.
Back to the drawing board. I tried walking in the digitigrade stilts today, and it's totally uncomfortable. I 'm going to need a better cut. 60 degrees should do it. Unfortunately, the chopsaw doesn't have that angle. I think I have an idea, but it would be terribly hard. I'll need more wood. Fortunately, I think I can get some from the deck soon. It's coming down soon, and I should be able to grab a plank or two.
I'll stick with the same idea, but just a lower angle.
Worked on adding a stability piece in the back, of the stilts, but those didn't really work, and broke off when I tried walking, or more, dragging them across the floor.
I'm going to get actual pieces cut, rather than these things that are too small, then I'll have to bolt them in. I still need straps for them though, and hopefully the angle is good enough, since when I tried standing in them yesterday, it seems somewhat strange, however that could have just been from the family gathering and short softball game that I participated in.
Should be interesting to try walking with them once I get the straps on.
