This week, I've decided to dig into custom journal looks and see what I can do. Using this skin, I was able to achieve a professional and modern tone to my journal, which I really appreciate. I'm not stellar with css — there's a reason I stopped being a Computer Sciences major in college — but I was able to navigate my way around well enough to get my text and some images in.
But what to put in this journal? That's a pretty solid question. Hrmmm.
As some of you may know, I have (in the past two years) started building Gundam models. I'm still pretty new to it, but it's very relaxing and fun since you don't need glue or paint to make the pieces look neat. My most recent model had a HUGE box and so many pieces. I'm not going to lie, it was super intimidating to even begin.
However, now that I've gotten into it a bit more, I'm really enjoying it. There are lots of small pieces that interlock and form mechanical joints or switches/locks, and the entire piece is able to transform between looks. Now, I've never seen a single episode of a Gundam show, nor read a book about the giant robots, so I have no idea why it needs to transform. Perhaps it's battle damage? A powered-up mode? I don't know. But it's fun.
Here's a picture of it (about 10-15 hours into the build right now), with some parts of it "transformed" (the green):
