 Basics

Bullet; White Webbing is an irregular, soft-edged, marking along the topline. It essentially resembles irregular, root-like patterning
along the topline.
Bullet; White In your ketucari's genotype, webbing is denoted by the letters "nWb" (heterozygous) or "WbWb" (homozygous).
Bullet; White In its heterozygous form, webbing has a pass rate of 35%. Homozygous webbing has a 60% pass rate.

Color and Shape

Webbing expresses in one of two ways. A design cannot express both of these options at the same time, it must be one or the other.

Option A: Dark Webbing

Dark webbing is accomplished by airbrushing a darker shade of the base along the topline (similar to sable), then erasing away the irregular lines. Below, you can see an easy way to accomplish this by using a crack brush as an eraser, then slightly blurring it to achieve the soft-edged look.

Dark webbing must be a darker color of your chosen base, with a minor deviation in hue. It can also be a fully desaturated color of the base, as long as it is darker. Dark webbing may be pure black.

These colors would be acceptable for this base color. They are either a darker version of the base, or a darker and desaturated version of the base. The last color on the right shows a minor deviation in hue, and is slightly more yellow than the base itself. Notice that this small change is not overbearing.

These colors would be unacceptable for dark webbing. They are either lighter than the base coat or have too drastic a hue shift.

Option B: Light Webbing

Light webbing is accomplished by selecting a shade lighter than the base coat and painting on the irregular lines. Again, you can use a crack brush and a slight blur to get this effect.

Light webbing must be a lighter color of your chosen base, with a minor deviation in hue. It can also be a fully desaturated color of the base, as long as it is lighter. Light webbing may not be pure white.

Range

Webbing has no minimum, but must be extensive enough that it is immediately recognizable. Here is the maximum range for webbing:

Interaction with Other Markings

Bullet; White All markings can be layered under or over webbing.
Bullet; White Webbing can be influenced by roan, laceinfernovapor, and segment.

Accents

Here are some small accents you can add to your designs to make them more unique!

Bullet; White Webbing may have a subtle gradient and fade into the base coat like below:

So how would sable and webbing interact? Would you just see the sable through the webbing?
