Basics
Hood is a darkening or lightening of the ketucari's neck and head. It can be hard-edged or soft-edged. In your ketucari's genotype, hood is denoted by the letters "nHd" (heterozygous) or "HdHd" (homozygous). In its heterozygous form, hood has a pass rate of 60%. Homozygous hood has a 85% pass rate.Color
Hood can either be lighter or darker than your ketucari's base coat (but not both!). It must be in the same color range as your base color, and may have a minor deviation in hue. It may also be a fully desaturated version of the base. Hood may even be pure black or pure white. Fully saturated colors (such as using orange on brown ketucari) are not allowed.

These colors would be acceptable for this base color. They are either a darker or lighter version of the base, or a desaturated version of the base. The color on the bottom right shows a minor deviation in hue, and is slightly more yellow than the base itself. Notice that this small change is not overbearing.

These colors would be unnacceptable for hood, as they have to drastic a hue shift or are too saturated.
Range
Blue denotes the maximum range and green is the minimum range for hood.
Interaction with Other Markings

Hood may have a subtle gradient, like below. 
When combined with markings that lighten or darken the base coat (such as washout, tar pit, and pangare), hood may be the same color and blend with those markings as in the below examples
