Mission Location: Route 66.
Date: March 25, 2076.
Time: 7:46 PM.
Reporting Agent: Genji.

“I thought trains didn’t run through this area anymore.” Genji said, sitting in a seat aboard an aircraft. “Not until recently. But transporting supplies has been tough. With Talon attacking multiple of our transports, and our agents barely surviving their assist mission, we’ve decided to try to lay low.” On the other end of the holographic screen was Winston, whom was debriefing Genji about this mission. “Obviously, “laying low” hasn’t worked out for us.” Genji said. Winston nodded. “Unfortunately, yes. We revived a distress call from our transport, then it was quickly disconnected. Any attempts to contact them have been unsuccessful. We fear Talon is behind this.” “I see...so then why just me? Tracer or Mercy could’ve accompanied me.”

“Unfortunately, those two are busy with their own mission. And bringing in the “big guns” could cause collateral damage. We want the supplies to be intact, not blown up. We trust you can catch whoever’s behind this and keep most of the supplies unscathed.” Genji nodded. “I will do what I can. Winston ended the transmission, and Genji stood up. “We’re approaching the drop-zone!” The aiecraft’s Pilot said. The Overwatch agent gave a nodded and walked over to the bottom doors, which were opening up. The aircraft hovered over the train, and Genji prepared himself. “Call is when you’re done with your mission. We can’t stay too close to the train, or else we may not be able to pick you up.” Genji looked up at the pilot. “Understood.” With that, he leapt out the aircraft and onto the train. The pilot sighed. “They never say “Thank you”.”

**********

Zer0 walked towards the dead body of the train’s conductor, pushing the body off the  terminal. He wasn’t concerned about the controls for the train itself, but rather, what info he could take from the terminal. Taking out a hard drive, Zer0 inserted it into the slot, then placing his hand on the right side of his helmet. “The hard drive is in / I’m getting the data now / Body count is high.” “That’s great. Hopefully you didn’t have too much trouble getting by.” Mad Moxxi said on the other end. “As soon as we get the data from this train, you’re outta there.” “There’s more cargo here / Should we take it for ourselves? / It could be useful.” “Don’t worry about it. The data is all we need. There’s likely nothing important these guys have for us.”

Zer0 looked out the front window of the train, spotting an aircraft flying away. “I am not alone / There is an aircraft above / Someone else is here.” The Vault Hunter turned around and walked out the doors, taking out his Vengeful Infinity. “Well then, go get ‘em.”

Genji kicked down a hatch on a car, jumping down inside the train afterwards. He held onto his wakizashi just in case of an ambush, but the obvious lack of armed men allowed Genji to ease up a bit. All that was around him was the cargo Overwatch was trying to deliver. He made his way over to the next door and peered into the room, seeing multiple Overwatch guards laying dead across the floor. Genji opened the door and walked into the next car of the train. There was a large black mark on the floor. Signs of a grenade exploding, or a similar explosion. Genji examined some of the deceased men, concluding that most died in the explosion, while others had died by the hands of a blade. After his investigation, Genji walked cautiously to the other door, and peered through once again. There, he saw Zer0, whom was standing around, facing away from the door Genji was looking into. The Overwatch agent readied his shurikens, then swift opened the door and sent them at Zer0.

However, they only passed through him. Genji was surprised, and Zer0 turned around to face him, disappearing afterwards. It was then Genji could hear the slightest bit of noise behind him. He drew his wakizashi, turned around, and blocked and otherwise fatal blow. Facing him was the real Zer0, whom had his sword drawn. “So, this is the man Talon has sent. Or are there more of you I should worry about?” Genji questioned. Zer0 tilted his head. “I’m the only one here / I’m only here for the data / I’m not with Talon.” “If you are and if you aren’t, it doesn’t matter. You broke in, killed our men, and now trying to steal data. I’m going to have to take you in.” Genji said, readying more shurikens begins his back. “I don’t want to fight / But you leave me with no choice / The data is mine.” Said Zer0, letting his blade dissipate and taking out his Vengeful Infinity.

Zer0 began firing at Genji, whom deflected the shots, then proceeded to throw his shurikens. Zer0 backflipped over the weapons, and began firing again. Genji deflected them again, then made a swift strike towards Zer0. The Vault Hunter formed his sword, and it blocked Genji’s wakizashi. However, the force of the blow was enough to send Zer0 skidding backwards. After getting his balance again, Zer0 fired again.

Genji made quick dashes in a zig-zag pattern, avoiding the gunshots. Zer0 has to reload, and he did it as fast as he could. But, Genji threw a single shuriken at  the gun, disarming Zer0 of his weapon. Zer0 looked at Genji, and “...” projected itself from his helmet. Genji threw the other two shurikens at Zer0, whom deflected them with his blade. Afterwards, Zer0 threw his blade towards Genji, whom avoided it. The sword smashed through  a window, falling on the tracks. “Such foolish abandonment. You’re desperate.” Genji said. Unbeknownst to the agent, it was only a distraction, for when he turned back to Zer0, the Vault Hunter had re-armed himself with his gun.

Zer0 fired at Genji. Genji jumped over the first wave of bullets and towards the side, rolling after he landed. Soon after, Genji threw more shurikens at Zer0, proceeding to jump over more gun fire. In response to the weapons thrown towards him, Zer0 simply moved to the side, allowing the shurikens to pin themselves against the wall behind him. This made him cease fire, and thus gave Genji a chance to attack. Whilst on a wall, Genji leapt forward, striking Zer0 with his wakizashi. Zer0 slammed against the wall, resulting in the three shurikens to now pierce his back.

Genji landed and readied his wakizashi as he was low on shurikens already. Zer0 stepped forward, removing the weapons pinned in his back. Genji observed as when they fell to the floor, he saw no traces of blood on them, and none dropped down from Zer0’s back. Looking back up at his opponent, Genji could see a new message projected from Zer0’s helmet, which said “WTF BRO”. Genji was admittedly baffled by this. But, he couldn’t be distracted any longer.

Zer0 dropped his gun and his sword started to form in his hand again. “Interesting...” Genji said, taking his wakizashi from its sheath. The two ran towards one another, swinging and clashing blades. Zer0 swung horizontally, and Genji blocked the blow. Zer0 swung once more, aiming for his opponents side, only to be blocked again. Zer0 got the idea that Genji wasn’t removing himself away from the defensive, so he would have to force him out of it. The Vault Hunter began swing multiple sword strikes at the Overwatch agent, and each blow was blocked by Genji. However, Zer0 was forcing Genji backwards against a wall. As soon as Genji’s back met with the flat surface, Zer0 swung one last time. Of course, Genji blocked it, but could no long open the distance between himself and his foe any longer. Zer0 grabbed the wrist that held the wakizashi, and proceeded to throw Genji against the closest window to them, which cracked against the force of the throw.

It was at this point Genji knew he needed a wider space to fight in. He smashed the window with his elbow and jumped out. Zer0 watched as Genji ran up the side of the car and was now on top of it. “This is bothersome / The things I have to deal with.” Zer0 didn’t go after Genji immediately. Instead he started to go further back to a different car. Meanwhile, Genji awaited his opponent, mostly expecting him to follow out the same way he did. However, Genji realized that the data Zer0 was after was more important than the fight in general. Genji turned and prepared to head to the front of the train, only to be stopped by the sound a gunshot. Genji moved as fast as he could, and a sniper bullet grazed his shoulder armor.

Genji looked behind him, and from far away on the last car of the train, Zer0 was laying low, carrying his Skookum Skullsmasher. Genji started moving towards Zer0, whom continued to fire at him. Genji deflected the first few shots, then leapt downward to the train’s side, running across the multiple cars. “Oh you’re kidding me.” Zer0 said, taking aim and firing. The cybernetic ninja deflected a few shots before moving upwards. He leapt off the top of the train and threw multiple shurikens at Zer0, who rolled under them, making them pierce the top of the train. As soon as Zer0 tried aiming again, Genji was already too close. With his wakizashi, Genji disarmed Zer0 of his sniper rifle. In response, Zer0 flip kicked Genji back, making him fall over. He recovered in a swift motion, striking a very heroic pose with both feet and his right hand on the train’s top, with his left hand wielding his wakizashi.

Zer0’s sword formed in his hand as he got into a defensive stance. Genji stood up straight, and put his smaller blade into its sheath, then unsheathed his Dragonblade, proceeding to get into a battle stance. The two rushed towards one another, and Genji slid under a horizontal slash from Zer0. As Genji began to turn and strike, Zer0 had turned and blocked the blow. The Vault Hunter swung at the Overwatch agent as he was getting up, but both strikes were blocked by Genji, who proceeded to deliver a powerful blow with Dragonblade. Luckily, Zer0 blocked it, but it managed to cleave through part of his sword. The tip of it fell off, so Zer0 threw his sword at Genji, who deflected it. This was only a distraction, though, as soon after Zer0 swung at Genji with a newly constructed sword.

A clean cut was made across Genji’s chest with blood dropping to the top afterwards. The agent staggered back, but quickly dashed towards his opponent, striking with immense force. Zer0 blocked it, but his digistruct blade was destroyed, and he himself was pushed off his feet, nearly falling off the train entirely. Genji readied more shurikens, but any intention to fight stopped as a bigger threat caught his attention. Zer0 managed to gain ground, but he could hear what caused Genji to stop. Behind Zer0 was an aircraft. But, it wasn’t one that belonged to Overwatch. It was that of Talon. The aircraft paid no attention to the two combatants, but instead fired missiles at the front of the train. “No!” Genji shouted. However, he nor Zer0 could do anything about the missile attack. The aircraft, however, could be dealt with.

Zer0 took out his Skorry Lyuda and fired at the pilot of the aircraft. The bullet pierced the glass and nailed the pilot in the head, and also electrocuting him for good measure. The craft began to lose control, but Genji not Zer0 would be able to see it crash as they had their own problem to deal with. The front of the train had already blown up, and the whole thing began to derail. Cars began to separate from each other, falling off the rails, or crashing into other cars, causing a chain reaction. Staying their ground was the best the two combatants could do, but they would need to do better for their survival. The car in front of them derailed, crashing into their car, forcing it to go upwards. The two began to run forward to the tip of the car, leaping forward. Genji dashed and landed on the top of a car and began running, all while Zer0 had made it to the same car. Not allowing the fight to cease even for a moment, Zer0 fired Genji with his rifle. Genji turned to deflect the shots with his Dragonblade, but the electric current the bullet carried coursed through Genji’s sword, electrocuting him for a moment.

This allows Zer0 enough time to get to Genji, proceeding to jump-kick him off the card, then flipping in the air afterwards and aiming with his rifle. Genji’s was no longer affected by the electricity, and readied his sword. Zer0 fired, and Genji deflected. This time, the bullet didn’t carry any electric properties with it, which was fortunate for Genji as he neared another dislodged train car. He landed on it and began running upwards with Zer0 continuing to shoot. Each bullet nearly caught Genji by the legs or arms, but they only pierced the car’s top instead. In no time at all, Genji made it to the top and through multiple shurikens at Zer0, whom backflipped out of the way.

Leaping off the falling car, Genji readied more shurikenss, only to turn his head and realize a train car was falling right towards him. The car hit his back and started to head towards the car Zer0 was on. As it was the only reasonable thing to do at that point, Zer0 ran the opposite direction, but it was too late. The cars collided, causing a massive explosion. Both Zer0 and Genji couldn’t do anything, and the chaos of the train crash continued. Both combatants were out long before it became calm again.

Zer0 awoke on the the warm ground. His shield was completely depleted, and he could tell his right arm was broken. A shard of metal had impaled his side, and his helmet was cracked. Despite the pain, Zer0 pulled through and began to stand up. He pulled the shard from his side and dropped it on the floor, then forced his dislodged arm back into place. He scanned the train wreck before him, but as he expected, there was no sign of Genji. The obvious conclusion was that he was dead. No one could’ve survived that wreck, not even him. Zer0 was only alive because he got lucky. The Vault Hunter raised his hand up to his helmet. “The mission has failed / I didn’t get the data / We need a new lead.” Mad Moxxi spoke on the other end. “At least it sounded like you had fun. Get back here, and I’ll see what we can fine. And maybe, I can treat you to your wounds~” Without a response, Zer0 ended the transmission and began to walk off.

However, a noise caught his attention. He turned, thoughts racing, coming to one conclusion. From the wreck emerged a figure Zer0 did not want to see alive; Genji Shimada. Like Zer0, his condition was terrible. His armor was damage, the cut he had revived prior had worsened, and his helmet was cracked, even more so than Zer0’s has part of his face was shown. Mostly, his left eye. Genji held his Dragonblade in hand as his wakizashi was missing. Zer0’s digistruct blade formed inbhis right hand, and he held it tight. No one made a move just yet, which gave Genji enough time to speak.

“We don’t need to fight each other. I do not wish to bring more harm onto you. But you are coming with me for questioning.” “My mission has failed / It is because of you / My data is gone.” Zer0 responded. “It is not my fault your data is gone. It was never yours to begin with. Yet, you still wish to fight me over something that is lost?” Genji questioned. “I don’t wish to fight / But I will not go with you / I will be going.” Zer0 clenched his sword. “And if you persist.” He got into a battle stance. “I won’t hesitate to kill.” Genji gave out a small, unnoticeable sigh. He gripped his sword and also got into a stance. “So be it.”

<da:embed id="gh3VJ1E36W4" profile="youtube" width="560" height="315">

The two ran at each other, Genji leaping over Zer0 and following up with a downward slash, one which Zer0 blocked. After landing, Genji barely managed to deflect bullets from Zer0 new handgun, the Loaded Maggie. Zer0 kept firing the gun, allowing the shots to get faster and faster until it seemed like it was firing six bullets at once. Genji could not deflect all of them. Few bounced off harder surfaces of Genji’s armor, others grazed him, and two nail him. One in the shoulder, and one in the side. Genji staggered back, blood seeping of of his wounds and onto the ground. He took his last hand of shurikens and threw them at Zer0. But it was all in vain, as Zer0 easily avoided them, then continued towards Genji. Brown smoke began to engulf Genji, leaving Zer0 to run at him and attack with his sword.

But by the time the sword cleaved through the thick brown smoke, Genji was gone. Zer0 quickly looked around, not being able to spot his opponent. He knew Genji wouldn’t run away, so he had to be hiding somewhere. Zer0 knew he would be at a disadvantage if he stayed there for long. Spotting a nearby structure, Zer0 ran towards it, leaping onto and off of large pillars of rock to get onto the roof. From there, he took out his Venture Longbow and scanned the area. Genji was not in sight, as he expected. What Zer0 might’ve not expected, however, was that Genji was behind him, slowly approaching, Dragonblade in hand. Genji was about to deal a killing blow when he stopped himself. Something about this seemed off to him. In fact, it seemed familiar. “That’s not really you.” Genji said, quickly turning and deflecting a kunai that was thrown at him, which exploded in midair afterwards. In front of Genji, Zer0 uncloaked. “Do you remembered.” Zer0 said. “I cannot fall for the same trick twice.” Genji responded. Behind him, the fake Zer0 began to stand up, still facing away. “I have more tricks up my sleeve.” As if on command, the holographic Zer0 exploded, pushing Genji forward towards Zer0, and letting the Vault Hunter jump kick him over the roof and off the building. Then, he ran off the roof himself and jumped, aiming his sniper rifle at Genji, whom was still laying on the ground. Zer0 fired, but Genji leapt backwards out of the way, skidding across the ground afterwards. Genji then needed to avoid more bullets, and as he saw, some were aflame. Zer0 landed in front of him, continuing to fire some more, only for Genji to deflect them with his sword.

Zer0 ran out of bullets and needed to replace the clip, which was when Genji attack. Making a dash towards Zer0, Genji slashes with his Dragonblade, cleaving through part of the gun. Zer0 took a few steps back, throwing the broken gun aside and taking out his sword. The two ran at each other, nine using any fancy tricks this time. It was just a straight up dual of blades. The digistrct sword clashed with the Dragonblade with equal force, and the wielders kept at it, swinging blades, colliding strikes. With every attack one made, the other would block. The offense and defense of both fighters were equally matched. Seeing as they weren’t getting anywhere, both fighters jumped back after their blades clashed for the last time.

Zer0 pulled out his Loaded Maggie again and opened fire once more. As he deflected the bullets, Genji moved back, not wanting Zer0 to get the advantage again. So, Genji dashed to the side, then to the opposite side before Zer0 could shoot once more. And finally, Genji dashed right towards Zer0, which was what he was expecting. Zer0 attempted to shoot, but Genji grabbed his wrist and thrusted it upwards, making Zer0 shoot upwards. Afterwards, Genji kicked Zer0 in the stomach, pushing him off his feet and disarming him of his gun. The Overwatch agent kicked the gun aside and started walking towards Zer0, who was struggling a bit to stand back up. He did, however, have his sword drawn, and got enough time to stand up straight. But by then, Genji had already swung with incredible force. Zer0 blocked, but like before, the Dragonblade cleaved through the digistruct sword. Zer0 took a few steps back, then stopped. “This ends here.” Genji said. “You’re coming with me.” “I must disagree.” Zer0 responded.

Genji sighed, lowering his head for a moment. With a quick dash, he impaled Zer0 through the stomach. Or at least, he thought he did. “How hilarious.” Zer0 began to say. “You just set off my trap card.” Genji could tell this wasn’t the real Zer0. He didn’t feel the slightlest bit of resistance when he dealt the ‘final blow’, nor did his opponent react to it. It was another one of Zer0’s tricks. However, it was one Genji didn’t fall for. “No,” Genji said, pulling the sword from the holographic Zer0. “you’ve activated mine.”

<da:embed id="rntncXYGJjg" profile="youtube" width="560" height="315">

With a quick leap into the air, Genji’s Dragonblade started to glow, and he made two deep slashes into the ground, causing a green ‘X’ to form on the ground. It was large, and it covered a chunk of the area. Genji landed, then slowly sheathed his Dragonblade. Afterwards, the X slash exploded, and the real Zer0 was caught up in it, knocking him off his feet. “Got you.” Genji said, running towards Zer0. The Vaukt Hunter recovered, and flip kicked Genji, swinging his sword afterwards. Genji blocked the strike, then pushed Zer0’s sword back. Genji went for a horizontal strike, slashing Zer0 across the chest. Zer0 clenched his chest for a moment, then began swinging relentlessly at Genji, who was doing his best to block every swing. Unfortunately for him, he couldn’t, and after the barrage of strikes, Genji was left with multiple cuts across his arms, legs, and torso. Zer0 followed up by delivering a powerful blow with his sword that pushed Genji back, despite the block he made. Afterwards, Zer0 three his sword at Genji, whom tilted his head to avoid having it impaled. Then, another digistruct blade formed in Zer0’s hand.

Zer0 expect Genji to make a dash towards him, so he readied a powerful strike. And, as predicted, Genji dashed right for him, delivering a powerful strike of his own. As both swords collided, a shockwave was created. From there, the two continued to clash swords. This time, though, Genji was starting to go more and more on the offensive, and he swung for Zer0’s head, only for his sword to be met with Zer0’s. However, this is what Genji wanted, and he kicked Zer0 away. Though the Vaukt Hunter was still on his feet, he wasn’t for long when Genji ran up to him and jump onto his chest, then pushing himself off, effectively jump-kicking Zer0. After Zer0 hit the ground, and while Genji was still airborne, the Overwatch agent threw his sword at Zer0. Taking a page from Genji’s book, Zer0 deflected the attack, making Genji’s sword pierce the ground a few feet away from him.

Genji landed before Zer0 could stand, and dashed over to his sword and retrieved it. Both fighters ran at one another, colliding blades only a few times before Genji grabbed Zer0’s wrist, preventing the sword from reaching him. Then, in a swift motion. Genji sliced his hand off allowing it and Zer0’s sword to fall to the ground. Then Genji kicked Zer0 back. Luckily, Zer0 managed to form a sword with his left hand, but the pain of losing his hand was agonizing. Despite everything, though, Zer0 stood his ground, and started moving towards Genji.

The Dragonblade started glowing green, and Genji swung it around, holding it towards Zer0. Then, a green dragon manifested itself besides Genji’s blade. Zer0 stopped himself in his tracks, taken aback by what Genji had summoned. Genji dashed towards Zer0, saying only one thing;

“RYŪJIN NO KEN WO KURAE!”

The Dragonblade struck with what one could describe as divine force, and Zer0 had been impaled. But unlike before, it was the real one. No more fakes. No more tricks.

Without a word, Zer0 began to fall to the ground after Genji released the blade from his chest. The Vault Hunter hit the ground, letting Genji sheath his sword. As he turned around to leave, he looked back at Zer0, realizing he hadn’t seen his face. Shimada walked towards Zer0’s body and knelt down. With a bit of trouble, Genji removed Zer0’s helmet. His eyes widened at the sight. But as shocked as he was, it was time for him to go. He knew as he could hear an aircraft carrier in the distance get closer and closer. He stood up and walked away from Zer0’s dead body. The aircraft approached and began to land. Thankfully, it was that of Overwatch. The backside hatch started to open, and the same pilot that dropped Genji off was standing there. “So,” He began to say. “do I get my thanks now?”

:iconmiss-electro-pop: That settles it, everything can be fixed with Dragons!

:iconmastersword3710: I know few of you...ok, a TON of you are going to call BS on this. And I can see why. This fight is anything but clear-cut. Both Zer0 and Genji held many surprising and unsurprising advantages over each other.

:iconmiss-electro-pop: Both ninjas were able to show their greatest feats in agility. While Zer0 might be able to jump over moving cars with incredible agility, Genji has the faster reaction physically and mentally to deflect Hanzo’s ricocheting arrows and climb on walls, including Mei’s ice walls which is a pretty challenging task because...it’s ice.

(Note; Zer0 had a larger arsenal than Genji, but nearly anything Zer0 could throw at him could be avoided or deflected)

:iconmastersword3710: And in his fight against Doomfist, Genji’s been shown running across the sides of buildings at very high levels. He can also just jump fairly high, as well.

:iconmiss-electro-pop: Even compared to speedsters like Tracer, he’s one of the fastest characters of Overwatch.

:iconmastersword3710:: If you recall, Genji himself claimed that Tracer is the only Overwatch member he has trouble keeping up with. And let’s be honest, Genji really doesn’t lie. Meanwhile, there aren’t really many speed feats for Zer0.

:iconmiss-electro-pop: And to Zer0’s crane feat, it’s a bit vague to say as there’s more to add on.

:iconmastersword3710: In Tales of the Borderlands, Zer0 avoids death when a crane drops on him and Bossanova. However, Zer0 survived. Some speculate that he was able to avoid it at the very last second, but there’s evidence to suggest that he wasn’t in front of Bossanova to begin with. First of all, he leaves behind a Decepti0n hologram. If all he needed to do was escape, he wouldn’t have done that in the first place. And secondly, he was hiding behind a couple of crates, something that’s also unnecessary as Bossanova was the only remaining Bandit there. The only explanation is that Zer0 knew the crane was coming and used Decepti0n to trick Bossanova into killing himself.

:iconmiss-electro-pop: TL;DR, he just used logic.

:iconmastersword3710: And speaking of Decepti0n, it was the deciding factor of this fight. Depending on how Zer0 used it, he could get a win. But any player can use Decepti0n differently and get different results. What we needed to do was find something that wasn’t player influence. And what we found contributed to Genji’s win.

:iconmiss-electro-pop: Yeah, it could only fool someone like Genji once and Genji isn’t a dumbass.

:iconmastersword3710: Here’s how this works; canonically, anytime Zer0 uses Decepti0n, it’s always when he’s looked as though he was off guard, open to attack. As ElectroPOP just said, Genji’s not an idiot. He would figure this out the second time Zer0 used it. But what about the first? Well, Genji’s training and faster reflexes wouldn’t allow Zer0 to get the drop on him so easily. Zer0 uncloaks when he attacks, and kunai’s can be deflected, even if they’re explosive.

:iconmiss-electro-pop: Genji could catch on by the second time, and using the X-Slash would catch Zer0 off guard as it has a wide radius.

:iconmastersword3710: It also doesn’t help that Genji was more durable. Let’s look back at that Doomfist feat. It’s very unlikely Doomfist was able to hit Genji with enough for to collapse a skyscraper with one punch. But even 1% of this punch, which would equal to 14.84 tons of force, is more than anything Zer0 has survived. And consider this; Zer0 may be a skilled sniper, but Genji counters the likes of Widowmaker and Hanzo as his speed allows him to close the gap between them, and he can deflect their ranged attacks.

(Note; Zer0 did survive an explosion inside a train car during the opening for Borderlands 2. However, there was some time to get to a semi-safe location aboard the train prior to the explosion. Even then, he and other Vault Hunters were unconscious at that point, while Genji was not)

:iconmiss-electro-pop: Genji was trained before and after his cybernetic transformation and has more experience than Zer0.

:iconmastersword3710: Because of Zer0’s largely unknown history, we can’t say for sure that he’s more experienced and skilled than Genji. If we assume he is because we know nothing, we can also assume he isn’t because we know nothing. It goes both ways. Even then, going off what we do know, Zer0’s done many assassinations. Meanwhile, Genji’s gone on stealth missions himself thanks to his time with Blackwatch, and has battled crazier opponents than Zer0 before landing on Pandora.

(Note; Genji has trouble fighting characters that are “tanky”, like Winston or Zarya. Zer0 is no where near a “tanky” character, and is best utilized for support. Meanwhile, Genji is an offensive fighter)

:iconmiss-electro-pop: While Zer0 does have Skill Trees, he has to kill someone for them to be active and...he didn’t kill Genji.

:iconmastersword3710: Not every ability was useless, but some were. Overall, Zer0 put up a damn good fight. But he couldn’t match Genji’s speed, durability, and known experience and training.

(Note; Zer0 has taken down the Warrior, a Vault Monster/Eridian biological super weapon. But, there’s no way Zer0 was able to do it on his own, and must’ve had major help from his Vault Hunter teammates)

:iconmiss-electro-pop: And with that in mind/Genji ends victorious/Score 1 to Zer0.

:iconmastersword3710: The winner is Genji.

Zer0 (Loser):
+Wider arsenal.
+Could never be separated from his sword.
+Multiple Skills were very helpful.
+Decepti0n could fool Genji.
=Agility.
=Maaaaaaybe equal in skill.
=Maaaybe equal in strength.
=Limited ammunition.
-Slower in movement speed and reflexes.
-Less durable.
-Decepti0n could only fool Genji once.
-Some Skills only activate until after an opponent is killed, making said Skills useless.

Genji (Winner):
+Faster in movement speed and reflexes.
+More durable.
+Has dealt with snipers before.
+Deflection meant Zer0 had limited ways to harm him up close and from afar.
+Wouldn’t be fooled by Decepti0n more than once.
-> +And even then, his training wouldn’t allow Zer0 to get the drop on him so easily.
=Agility.

LOVE this fight! Best thing? Genji finally won a Death Battle! Seeing him in many death battles and I saw him keep losing and finally he won! Yay!
