Cole: Undyne, head of the Royal Guard.
David: And Pyrrha Nikos, the Invincible Girl. To be clear here, we're not, I repeat NOT using Undyne the Undying.
Cole: Why? Cause that's overkill and extremely unfair. He's David and I'm Cole.
David: And it's our job to analyze their armor, weapons, and skills to see who'd win, a Death Battle
David: Long ago, a war was waged between two races, the humans and monsters.
Cole: And if you're unaware, we humans kinda kicked their butts. After the humans won the war, the monsters were banished to the Underground and a barrier along with them.
David: This barrier was meant to keep any monsters from ever returning to the surface ever again.
Cole: But the barrier could be broken if one obtained seven human souls and a monster soul. But because humans were out of reach, it would be impossible for them to break the barrier. But because we're such a dumb and clumsy race, humans tended to fall down into the underground anyway.
David: Every time a human fell down, King ASGORE would stop at nothing to obtain these humans souls. So, naturally, the King had others kill the humans and take their souls. He entrusted this task to Alphyus, his head Scientist, and Undyne, the head of his Royal Guard.
Cole: There's little on Undyne's backstory, but we know that she loves mentoring others, enjoys japes, and....likes anime?
David: So...do the people in the Underground have WiFi or something?
Cole: That's awesome! Anyway, when she's not discuss in her love for anime to Alphyus, she'll sometime be training the skeleton Papyrus so that he could join the Royal Guard. Though I don't know why she's want to train someone who never shuts up and is bad at cooking.
David: Well, her personality isn't as threatening as her appearance. During combat, Undyne wears your typical knight armor.
Cole: Wait, what? There's no cool name for it?
David: No. Not really. It looks cool at least and provides Undyne with great protection. Though like real armor, it can slow her down and almost takes away the mobility advantage she has. However, she can remove her armor to become more agile.
Cole: Undyne's main weapon of choice is a laser spear. She can either hold it as a males weapon, or summon a crap load more to strike people from a distance at certain angles.
David: While the number of energy spears she can summon are unknown, she usually summons blue and red energy spears. But it's the yellow one's people have to look out for.
Cole: Why? Because it freaking turns around and will hit from behind! Not only that, but these attacks can harm the very soul of the opponent!
David: Also, Undyne can immobilize her opponents by turning their souls green and giving them a spear to defend themselves with. But she only really does this if they're unarmed.
Cole: Undyne has achieved some impressive feats. She's knocked ASGORE down as a child, strong enough to destroy rocks by punching them, can effortlessly cut through boulders, has nearly killed Frisk multiple times, shook her entire house just by stomping, and has chased Firsk in her armor with no signs of tiring.
David: Unfortunately, Undyne isn't unbeatable. She prefers a fair fight, can't handle hot temperatures for too long, is very overconfident, chivalrous to a fault, and often gets carried away with her passion.
Cole: Even with her flaws, Undyne is still the badass head of the Royal Guard. Very few can stand a chance against her.
Undyne: "Screw it! Why should I tell you that story when you're about to die!?"
David: The world of Remnant has many mysteries surrounding regarding things like the Grimm and some of its characters.
Cole: One of them is the Invincible girl, Pyrrha Nikos.
David: Pyrrha graduated at the top of her class at Sanctum Academy and won the Mistral Tournament 4 times in a row, which according to Weiss Schnee is a new record.
Cole: As you can imagine, Pyrrha's popularity went up a lot from that point onward, even to the point where she on the picture on a cereal brand.
David: Afterwards, Pyrrha went on to Beacon Academy to further hone her skills. But unfortunately, she was so popular, it was hard to make any friends at all.
Cole: Fortunately, a dumb kid by the name of Jaune Arc has never really heard of her outside of the cereal box. So, Pyrrha quickly took a liking to him.
David: After helping Jaune, Ren, and Nora kill a Deathstalker, they were formed as Team JNPR by Professor Ozpin. The leader was......Jaune Arc.
Cole: What? Jaune? But...he sucks at fighting!
David: Maybe, but he's great as a leader.
Cole: I'm calling bull.
David: Anyway, Pyrrha didn't earn her reputation by just sitting in class and listing to lectures. She is an absolute beast in combat.
Cole: Like all Hunters and Huntresses, Pyrrha has an Aura that can by used for many things like protecting her like a shield, healing wounds, and unlocking others Auras.
David: Her weapons of choice are a sword and shield known as Milo and Akouo.
Cole: Milo is not just a sword, it can also transform into a spear and a gun.
David: In the spear mode, it can be thrown like a javelin serval hundred feet. And she's got really great accuracy with it as well. Take for an example when she saved Jaune's life by throwing the spear at him, who was yards away, which it pierce his hood, while he was falling, making him stuck on a tree.
Cole: Akouo is Pyrrha's shield. It doesn't just great for defense, but she can throw it like Captain America!
David: The shield is strong enough to cut off an almost loose Deathstalker's stinger. But Pyrrha's greatest ability in her arsenal is her Semblance, which is Polarity.
Cole: Or in my terms, magnetism. Using her Semblance, she can pretty much control anything that has metal. Which might explain her Captain Americaness.
David: However, like other Hunters and Huntresses who make their Semblances well known, Pyrrha doesn't, mostly due to responsibility.
Cole: So...with great power comes with great responsibility?
David:.....yes.
Cole: Cool. Anyway, when Pyrrha needs to, she'll just control anything metal and throw it at you. Because she can. Like, no really, she was able to use it on soda cans. How does that even work?
David: It's anime. Don't question it.
Cole: Wait, RWBY isn't anime.
David:....we'll argue about this later.
Cole: Anyway, Pyrrha mostly uses her Semblance for little situations, like moving something like a sword away from her so it 'misses'.
David: But again, when she's not holding back, she can control a large amount of metal that's bigger than herself, like the gears of the headmaster's tower.
Cole: Yeah. Pyrrha's pretty darn badass and has some awesome feats. There's the whole 'graduating top of her class', and the whole 'winning the Mistral Tournament 4 times in a row' thing, but there's still a lot more to cover. She can withstand the force of Nora's hammer boosting off her shield, she's killed tons of Grimm on her own and some with her team, can fight on par against Mercury, used her Semblance to throw dozens of soda cans at once, beat Cardin and his team single handily (though they really suck in comparison), and she can also dance.
David: However, with all of this, Pyrrha only got so far because most of the time, the enemies use a metal weapon, or there's metal in her environment. Even so, it's not always enough to let her win all the time. Also, while they're extremely tough, Milo and Akouo are not invincible, but it's very difficult to really do so. Plus, while great protection, Pyrrha's Aura is limited, if she takes too much damage, it'll eventually deplete.
Cole: And if you haven't seen Volume 3, there's spoilers and then we're done. So leave now if you don't want to be spoiled. Though really, who doesn't know by now?
David: You'd be surprised.
Cole: Well, if you're not aware, Pyrrha dies at the hands of Cinder at the end of Volume 3.
David: *sighs* Now who am I going to ship with Jaune?
Cole: Oh! I know!
David: Who?
Cole: Ship him with Neo!
David: You mean the girl who almost killed Yang?
Cole: Yeah.
David: Hell no. They have nothing in common and they haven't even met yet. Why would that ship make any sense?
Cole: Good point. Be weird if anyone shipped them together.
*David and Cole stare at all the Jaune x Neo shippers*
Pyrrha: "For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all. Infinite and distance and unbound by death. I release your soul and by my shoulder, protect thee."
