Axel: Alright, the combatants are set. Let's end this debate once and for all.

Felix: It's time, for a Death Battle!!!

"Come on!" Jaune shouted, gripping his sword tightly. Three Beowolves surrounded him, all waiting to attack when they feel Jaune's off guard. Jaune had to constantly turn around, his shield up at the ready. One of the Beowolves was going to attack, but someone came in and slashed it from behind. The strike instantly killed the Beowolf, and the Grimm fell to the ground before dissolving away. Jaune was taken off guard by the suddenly appearance of this mysterious man, and it gave the other two the time to attack as well. However, both were easily taken down by Jaune.

"Nice work." The man said. Jaune turned to the man...and was surprised by his looks. "What the...?" Jaune said in confusion. The man standing before him looked almost identical to him. He wore all white, which wasn't too much like Jaune. However, he wielded a sword and shield and had blonde hair. He didn't tower over Jaune, roughly around the same size. The man put his sword into his shield like a sheath, which definitely threw Jaune off. Basically to show off, Jaune did the same and. The man blinked then shook his head. "I must be very popular here. That's understandable. Anyway. My name is Patroklos. I hope you don't mind me asking if you've seen a girl named Pyrrha."

"Pyrrha..." Jaune said. The name 'Pyrrha' ran through his head. He must've meant Pyrrha Nikos as she was pretty famous. It also made sense that he didn't know about her death as the tower in Beacon was destroyed, cutting any communications. "Yes, I have. But...she's dead.." Jaune said. He never liked talker about her death, he always teared up as he did. "She's dead!? Who did this to her! Tell me right now!" Patroklos demanded in a fierce tone. "Well...really, it's my fault. I-" Jaune was about to explain what had happened, but he was interrupted by the sound of Patroklos unsheathing his sword from his shield. "I'll kill you for this!" Patroklos shouted. "W-wait! It's not-!" Without warning, Patroklos swung his blade at Jaune, who reacted by taking his scabbard out and extending it into his shield, blocking Patroklos' attack just in time.

Jaune pushed Patroklos back and grabbed onto the handle of his sword and unsheathed it. "I'm not looking for a fight!" Jaune said. "You killed Pyrrha...my sister! Like hell you're not looking for a fight!!" Patroklos charged at Jaune, giving the Hunter no choice but to defend himself. Jaune and Patroklos clashed blades, but Jaune immediately released the short loco and swung horizontally. Patroklos retaliated and blocked the attack with his shield, slashing down with his sword.

It didn't do too much as Jaune was able to block the attack, but he didn't stop there. He started running forward, pushing Patroklos back with his weight, and crashing him in a wall. Jaune jumped back afterwards, preparing for another charge. Patroklos moved away from the human shaped crack in the wall, leaving Jaune to bash his shield into said wall, leaving yet another crack. Patroklos started slashing at Jaune with his sword then trusted, but Jaune countered the attack by blocking with his shield, then slashing down at Patroklos' sword with his own blade.

"I see you're not as bad as I thought. But you can barely keep up with my skill." Patroklos taunted. Jaune gritted his teeth as he went for a couple of swings with his sword, all of which were blocked by Patroklos. "Ha, you call that-" Jaune interrupted by slashing so fast, he managed to created and 'x' pattern to his strikes. Jaune finished off his attack with a kick that pushed Patroklos backward, but barely sending him off his legs. "Ok, so you can do that." Patroklos gripped his sword and dashed towards Jaune and jumped in the air.

Jaune grabbed the handle of his sword with both hands and stabbed it in the ground, creating a shockwave that pushed Patroklos back, making him fall on his back and roll over for a bit. Patroklos gathered his thoughts quickly, just in time to as Jaune was already in the air, about to stab him in the face, or at least that's what it looked like. Patroklos quickly got up and leaped forward, but Jaune came down too quickly, stabbing his sword into the ground, creating another, but smaller, shockwave that pushed Patroklos forward.

This time, Patroklos managed to land on his feet, though almost falling over. 'Ok, he can do that thing, too.' Patroklos turned around to face Jaune, who was waiting for Patroklos to attack. Of course, Patroklos did attack, moving forward towards Jaune. Jaune swung his blade, but Patroklos avoided the attack and grabbed Jaune by the back of his head. He then bluntly hit Jaune in the stomach with the end of his blade's handle.

<da:embed id="DrC_n5hUDKs" profile="youtube" width="560" height="315">

Jaune staggered back, instinctively moving his arms towards his stomach to at least ease the pain. "You're a good fighter," said Patroklos. "but I'm a superb one!" Jaune folded his shield and put it on his belt, then sheathing his sword. "What? Giving up already? Smart choice." Patroklos said. "I'm nowhere near close to done." Said Jaune. He removed the shield-scabbard from his belt, his sword locked within it. Suddenly, two sharpe blades appeared from the edges of his scabbard, Turing it into a type of broadsword.

"What the-!?" Patroklos was interrupted as Jaune slashed at him, his sword now having a greater reach than before. The broadsword scratched a part of Patroklos' armor, making him stagger back from the force. "Seriously!? What the hell!?" Patroklos said, gripping his sword tightly. The change of tactics by Jaune definitely caught Patroklos off guard, so he knew he needed to be a bit more careful.

Jaune rushed forward, swinging his sword at Patroklos. Despite it's pretty heavy appearance, Jaune was swinging it rather fast, catching Patroklos off guard for a bit. But it wasn't anything he couldn't handle...or at least, that's what he thought. As soon as Patroklos tried to counter with his own sword, it was easily knocked from his hand. "Crap!" Patroklos said. Jaune took the moment and stuck Patroklos with his sword.

Patroklos barely was able to block it, but he managed to do so. However, he did stagger a bit after the collision. Jaune jumped into the air and slashed downwards, making Patroklos block with his shield. Despite this, Jaune managed to knock Patroklos off his feet via Jaune's strength and weight.

Jaune landed on his feet and grabbed Patroklos then lifted him up. "I'm ending this right now!" Jaune said. He pushed Patroklos back, then slashed him horizontally with his sword, sending the 'Holy Knight' flying into a wall. Jaune stood there panting before turning his broadsword back into a scabbard. Jaune attached it to his belt and started to walk off, presumably victorious.

Patroklos recovered from being smashed against the wall, his head throbbing in pain, his armor had a very noticeable cut mark on it, and he carried multiple bruises. "How...could I lose to this...kid!?" Patroklos said to himself, clearly upset. Patroklos grabbed onto his head, the pain from the collision was almost unbearable, and he felt as though he was going to pass out. Patroklos could only think about Pyrrha as his consciousness started fading. He remembered, though vague, what she said once.

"I wish I could've heard you say my name just one last time. Patroklos, I'm sorry for being weak. I'm sorry for not being able to forgive you." Patroklos imaged his dear sister, and he knew he couldn't give up. He needed to avenge her. "But now I know that we were both weak and lacking!" Patroklos stood up, his consciousness returning to him. He grabbed hold of his shield, which had laid next to him. "Now that I've realized that I can forgive you, so please come back to me!" Patroklos walked over and grabbed his sword, looking at the blade before gripping it tightly. "Return to me, Patroklos!" Patroklos looked off in the distance to see his sister's killer walking away. Patroklos had a fierce determination in his eyes. He wouldn't, couldn't back down now. "I'll avenge you, Pyrrha!" Patroklos said before running towards Jaune.

The Hunter was walking back to the place he and his team were staying at. However, he heard footsteps coming closer, someone running directly towards him. Jaune turned, but he was too late to react. Patroklos struck Jaune with his sword, sending Jaune tumbling on the ground. The Hunter quickly got up and took out his sword as he only had time to do just that. Patroklos wasn't giving Jaune any time to fight back, his determination and drive to win was making sure of it.

Patroklos slashed at Jaune again, making a noticeable cut on Jaune's face. He then sheathed his sword, then started rapidly punching Jaune upwards as if he was Star Platinum. Whilst in the air, Patroklos threw his sword at Jaune, who could only brace himself for impact. In what he believed to be his final moment, Jaune could only think about Pyrrha...

Patroklos' sword hit its target, but a bright light flashed, and before Patroklos even knew it, the handle of his own sword had hit him in the head, as if it had been bounced back. Jaune hit the ground but managed to recover. He looked at his hands, and he saw them glow for a bit. Whatever had happened, it protected him. Jaune looked up at Patroklos, who was a bit dazed.

Jaune stood up and picked up his sword, then took his scabbard out and extended it to form his shield. Jaune needed to beat Patroklos, or he wouldn't be so lucky next time. All he needed to do is remember the instructions.

<da:embed id="3Gcc0vmXND0" profile="youtube" width="560" height="315">
"Alright, Jaune, just like we practiced. Follow these instructions." Pyrrha's voice sounded in Jaune's head as the training video played out in his memories. "Shield up. Keep your grip tight. Don't forget to keep your front foot forward." Jaune did all of what Pyrrha instructed him to do. He started to approach Patroklos, who was gathering his thoughts before grabbing his sword. "Ready? Go!" Jaune took a powerful blow at Patroklos, thrusting forward with his blade, breaking through Patroklos' defensive position.

"Again." Jaune took another powerful swing at Patroklos. "And again." Jaune turned his whole body around and came back for another swing, only for Patroklos to block it. "Okay. Now, assuming you aren't cheating...we can take a break." Patroklos swung his sword, but Jaune blocked it with his shield. "I know this can be frustrating. And it can feel like so much effort to progress a small amount." Patroklos released his blade from Jaune's shield, then swung again. This time, Jaune also swung, clashing the two's blades, getting both into a lock.

"But...I want you to know that I'm proud of you." Patroklos released his blade and quickly took another swing, letting Jaune block it with his shield. This gave Patroklos time to smash Jaune in the face with his shield. "I've never met someone so determined to better themselves. You've grown so much since we started training. And I know this is just the beginning." Patroklos kicked Jaune in the stomach, making him fall over. "This is what you get! Take this, you murderer!" Patroklos tried stabbing his sword into Jaune, but the Hunter rolled away just in time.

"Jaune...I...I....I just want you to know that I am just happy to be apart of you life." Patroklos didn't leave Jaune off the hook, though. He quickly caught up to Jaune, who attempted to get up. Patroklos stopped Jaune's movements by holding his sword to Jaune's throat. "I'll always be here for you, Jaune." Jaune couldn't move, not at the position he was in. "I will avenge her death, no matter what. If it's the last thing I do..." Patroklos said. He rose his sword and swung horizontally, aiming to cut Jaune's head off. Jaune closed his eyes, not hoping for that bright light to save him again, but something he knew he could pull off.

<da:embed id="MrW6JpeRc8Q" profile="youtube" width="560" height="315">

A small blast of energy surged around the area around the two. Patroklos was pushed back, feeling a small amount of pain from the energy. Standing before him was Jaune, a fierce determination radiated off his face, but a red aura of sheer power radiated off his whole body. "What is..." Patroklos looked dumbfounded, but he quickly tried to strike Jaune, but to his surprise, not only did Jaune strike back with his own sword, he easily knocked Patroklos' out of his hand.

Patroklos, shocked by the disarmament, took a few steps back, but Jaune didn't cut him any slack as he slashed with his sword. By instinct, Patroklos raised his shield to block, but Jaune didn't give two s**ts. As Jaune's sword met Patroklos' shield, he was easily able to disarm the 'Holy Knight' of his main means of defense.

"Now, I'm ending this. This is for your own good!" Jaune said. Gripping his sword tightly, Jaune started unleashing a flurry of swings at Patroklos, topping it all off by slicing Patroklos' head off. The 'Holy Knight's' body fell to the ground in front of Jaune. The Hunter's Ultimate wore off, and the red aura around Jaune dissipated. Jaune sheathed his sword into his shield and folded it into a scabbard, attaching it to his belt.

Felix: Holy s**t!

Axel: This may have been one of the closest matches we've ever seen. Patroklos was more skilled and experienced than Jaune...

Felix: But with the RWBY Grimm Eclipse moves, Jaune wasn't completely outmatched in skill. In fact, his skills almost matched Patroklos'.

Axel: Because Jaune and Patroklos have no real long ranged weapons, fighting up close was entirely inevitable. Because of it, Patroklos did have the chance as well as the possible means to take Jaune out.

Felix: However, Jaune was physically superior in certain ways. Sure, Patroklos has beaten people like that before, but a lot of his victories come from him wielding Soul Calibur, a sword which he didn't use in this battle.

Axel: If Patroklos did have Soul Calibur, he would win no doubt. But we didn't want this to end up as another spite match.

Felix: And sure, while Patroklos is slightly more skilled and more experienced, Jaune has held his own against people like that before, and he's done mostly fine against them.

Axel: While it's true Patroklos did win a tournament at 15, Jaune wasn't the average swordsman...in a way.

Felix: Jaune was stronger, faster, and more durable thanks to his Aura.

Axel: It also didn't help that though Patroklos is very skilled, he was kind of an idiot. Jaune sure has his dull moments, but he plays it smart during combat. And he could increase his already pretty insane strength thanks to his Ultimate as it increases it by 100%.

Felix: Jaune also had the superior weapons. Corcea Mors was already very durable on its own, showing no significant damage over the years, but now that Jaune's combined them with Pyrrha's shield, it stands to reason that they're way more durable than before. Meanwhile, the Sigma Sword's durability isn't exactly clear, but the Arcadia Shield isn't indestructible as it was broken by Z.W.E.I.

Axel: Being physically superior, smarter, and having the superior/versatile weapons, Jaune's victory starts to become more clear.

Felix: Like in typical Patroklos fashion, the 'Holy Knight' got a little ahead of himself.

Axel: The winner is Jaune Arc.

Jaune Arc:
+Stronger.
+Faster.
+More durable thanks to Aura.
+Superior/versatile weapons.
+Much more smarter.
+Has held his own against more skilled and experienced opponents before and was more or less fine.
+Ultimate.
-Not as skilled.
-Less experienced.

Patroklos:
+Slightly more skilled.
+More experienced.
+Has beaten tougher foes...
-...mostly because of Soul Calibur, which he didn't have access to in this fight.
-Physically inferior to an extent.
-Definitely not as smart.
-Weapons weren't as versatile.

It's  finally here. Jaune Arc VS Patroklos Alexander. RWBY VS Soul Calibur.
