Felix: We've had many interesting opponents in our fights. Space people, genetic lifeforms, ninjas, ninjas that tornado around the place, etc. However, one iconic warrior is the knight. Carrying swords, shields, and in this case, not wearing helmets.
Axel: They're extremely similar in appearance, and have some connection to a girl with the name 'Pyrrha'.
Felix: Jaune Arc, the former leader of Team JNPR.
Axel: And Patroklos Alexander, the Heir To The Title of Holy Warrior.
Axel: In this scenario, to make things more even, Jaune will receive abilities from RWBY Grimm Eclipse, and Patroklos won't have Soul Calibur.
Felix: He's Axel and I'm Felix.
Axel: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to see who'd win, a Death Battle.
Jaune Arc:
Axel: Imagine a world where fighting for your life comes more often than you think. A world where monsters can be found at nearly every corner. A world where kids learn to become Hunters and Huntresses. This is the world of Remnant.
Felix: I was gonna say our world for a second, but when you mentioned the hunter huntress thing, I immediately changed my mind.
Axel: In this world, fighting for yourself and others is very common, especially against the Grimm.
Felix: You'd just better hope your teammates are well prepared and not easily scared, because Grimm are attracted to that. And unfortunately for Remnant, there just had to be this one dude who just...wasn't fit to be a Hunter whatsoever. His name is Jaune Arc.
Background:
-Name: Jaune Arc.
-Age: 18.
-Height: 6'1"
-Weight: Unknown.
-Former team: Team JNPR.
-Current team: Team RNJR.
-Has seven sisters.
-Great at dancing.
-Can wear a dress with no shame.
Felix: Ok, so Jaune Arc's the main character, right?
Axel: Actually, he's more of a side character before Volume 4. The main character of RWBY is Ruby Rose even though Jaune appears to have more character development.
Felix: So then why-
Axel: Unlike most students, Jaune did not earn his way into Beacon. He snuck in using fake transcripts all because he wanted to be like his father, his grandfather, and his grandfather's father.
Felix: So he basically sucks at combat, right?
Axel: Not anymore, really. Sure, he still needs to keep up with Ruby, Nora, and Ren, but Jaune is certainly capable of handling himself, and he might surprise you.
Felix: Jaune's and excellent strategist, being able to make judgements calls that work to his and his team's advantage, regardless if he holds the status of leader or not. He may even be better at calling the shots than Ruby herself, who's definitely a much better fighter.
Axel: On top of that, Jaune has superhuman strength, speed, and durability.
Felix: But because this is a world full of monsters, you'd obviously have to have some kind of awesome weaponry. So Jaune carries...a sword and shield.
Axel: Don't sell them short. Jaune's weapons are actually weapons that had been used before him, and to this day, they haven't suffered a single scratch despite being many years old.
Arsenal:
Crocea Mors:
-Jaune's main weapons.
-A sword and shield combo.
--Sword is sharp enough to cleanly slice an Usra Major's head off with no effort.
--Shield can easily block attacks from foes many times bigger than Jaune himself.
---Shield acts as a scabbard. It still weighs the same, though.
-Since Volume 4, combined his weapons with Pyrrha's shield, giving it even more power.
Crocea Mors Broadsword:
-By sheathing his sword, Jaune can turn his own shield into a bigger and stronger sword.
-Does require Jaune to carry it with both hands when fighting.
Felix: So basically, it's a sword-sword.
Axel: Yes...?
Felix: Well alright! That's freaking badass!
Axel: That's not all Jaune has to offer, though.
Felix: If this was all Jaune had, he'd most likely be dead at this point. However, his skill would say so otherwise.
Axel: When he started out, Jaune's skill with his weapons had been blow average. But since he received training from Pyrrha Nikos, his skills had improved immensely. Later on, Jaune became a very reliable combatant in more ways than one. He was even able to hold his own during the Vytal Tournament.
Felix: With his sword and shield combo, Jaune can pull off some really neat sword combos, charge at enemies and bash them with his shield, or pull a Zelda and do a fatal blow.
Axel: Well sort of. By stabbing his sword into the ground, Jaune can create a shockwave in the area around him. Though small, Jaune can charge it up for a more powerful shockwave. If timed perfectly, Jaune can interrupt an enemy attack. Though charging it up can leave himself open for attack.
Felix: Fortunately for Jaune, he's pretty durable.
Axel: Well, his durability is more based on how much Aura he has.
Abilities/Powers:
Aura:
-"It's like a force field!"
-Like a shield, it's capable of blocking attacks.
-Jaune possess a lot of it.
-Can heal minor wounds.
-Jaune's Scroll can tell Jaune how much Aura he has left.
Semblance:
-A power that all Hunters and Huntress can manifest.
-Drawn from their Aura.
-Jaune doesn't know what his is or how to use it.
-Only been shown once, but it's ability is extremely vague.
--Blocked a punch from Cardin.
Ultimate:
-NOT Jaune's Semblance.
-Creates a shockwave when activated that pushes enemies back and also damages them slightly.
-Increases his strength by 100%.
--Or his speed.
--Also effects his team.
-Only lasts for 5 or so seconds.
-Very useful when he's backed in a corner or when a fellow team member needs it.
Felix: Not that's awesome power! Semblance or not, Jaune's a pretty capable fighter all on his own.
Axel: I'll say. His strategic mind and high strength make him a really good combatant. And now that he's good with a blade, he's become a more useful ally in combats
Felix: He's pretty much the perfect team leader. But he wouldn't be much if he didn't have some accomplishments to his name.
Feats:
-Strong enough to block an attack from a Death Stalker, a humongous Grimm Scorpion.
-Durable enough to be thrown by said Grimm a distance of several hundred feat.
-Leapt far and high enough to catch a falling Weiss Schnee.
--Then pathetically fell and survived hitting the ground followed by Weiss landing on his back.
-Fast enough to dodge flying rocks coming at him.
--The last one his him in the face, though.
-Held back a charging Nuckelavee for a couple of seconds.
-Was able to dodge hits from the Nuckelavee in order to reach Qrow.
--Was also able to survive punishment from it and his Aura held out.
---Ren and Nora's didn't.
-With Ruby, Nora, and Ren, survived a run in with Tyrian, who was on par with Qrow.
-Survived an attack from Cinder with the Fall Maiden's powers.
-Survived the Fall of Beacon.
-Killed an Ursa Major with little help from Pyrrha.
--Did so again with no help at all.
Felix: How is this guy not the main character?
Axel: For many good reasons. While he is good with combat, he isn't nearly as good as most others in Remnant.
Weaknesses:
-Most, if not all durability feats are due to his Aura.
-His Aura can be depleted over time if he's taken too many hits.
-Usually works with a team and not by himself.
-Can get frustrated sometimes during battle.
-No knowledge of Semblance.
Felix: Welp. That's just great.
Axel: His feats do heavily outweigh his weaknesses. Jaune is still a great combatant who's not much of a push over these days. Though he still lacks the same skill as his team, he's smart and strong to get away with it...even if he's a total jerk.
Jaune: *Plays the guitar in a totally not terrible way* "Weiss Schnee, will you accompany me, to the dance on.....Sunday!"
Weiss: "Are you done?"
Jaune: "Yes?"
Weiss: "No." *slams the door on him*
Patroklos:
Felix: In the world of Soul Calibur, a terrible nightmare named...Nightmare threatens the entire planet. So, naturally, some warriors have to rise up and stop him or some crap like that.
Axel: This could mean any warrior, really. Even ones from different planets entirely, like oddly Yoda or even Darth Vader.
Felix: But guest characters are not the focus. The focus is on this self centered guy named Patron.
Axel: You mean Patroklos.
Felix: Yeah yeah, whatever.
Axel: Patroklos lived a semi normal life...as normal of a life one can live in Soul Calibur.
Felix: Patroklos was the son of Sophitia and Rothion, and was also the younger brother to Pyrrha Alexander. Now that's a name I can pronounce. What's with this game and hard to pronounce names?
Axel: As a child, Rothion told Patroklos about Sophitia and her adventures of being a Holy Warrior and her battle against the demonic blade known as Soul Edge.
Felix: Though of course, tragedy had struck as his father became ill. If that wasn't hard enough on Patroklos, with his dying breath, Rothion told his son that his mother was killed in action and his sister was kidnapped. What an awful thing to say, even for his last words. 'Hey son, I know you have some pressure going on because I'm dying, but to add some more pressure, your mother's dead and your sister's been kidnapped so she can be a host for a demonic blade that devours people's souls.'
Axel: It may seem bad...er, it was actually extremely awful, but Patroklos didn't spend the aftermath of it grieving. He vowed to become stronger to save his sister and avenge his mother.
Background:
-Name: Patroklos Alexander.
-Age: 19.
-Height: 5'9".5
-Weight: 154 lbs.
-Very cocky attitude.
-Pretty self centered.
-For some reason is worthy enough to wield Soul Calibur.
Axel: Patroklos spent a couple of years receiving training from multiple different fighting arts masters, and this skill really did him well, especially in combat.
Felix: Which is good because he just...has the tendency to kill anything that looks malfested without question. All behind he has a grudge against him.
Axel: Well, let's not get into that right now...what really matters at the moment is Patroklos' fighting style. It was inspired by his mother and aunts fighting style. He can preform combos that lean towards an aggressive style.
Felix: But if his opponents not already dead, he can just use his Critical Edge; the Price of Justice.
Axel: By punching his opponent in the air rapidly, he'll take out his sword and throw it into the chest of his opponent, then jumps to pull it out, thus effectively puncturing the opponent.
Felix: Just as planned. But if he's gonna fight, he's gonna need some weapons. OH YEAH! He has those.
Sigma Sword and Arcadia Shield:
-His default weapons.
-The Sigma Sword was forged by Patroklos himself.
-The Arcadia Shield was supposedly made from divine ore.
-Shield acts like a sheath.
Axel: Because of his skill, bravery, strength, speed, and durability, Patroklos has chalked up some very impressive feats.
Feats:
-Won a sword-fighting tournament at the age of 15.
-Became a Holy Knight.
-Slayed many "Malfested".
-Defeated Valdo.
-Beaten Siegfried.
-Almost killed Tira.
-Saved his sister.
-With his sword skills alone, gained the trust of Asian fighters.
-Completed Soul Calibur (the sword)
-Took a bitch slap from Nightmare.
-Took blows from Z.W.E.I wolf stand multiple times.
-Defeated Omega Pyrrha (w/Soul Calibur)
Felix: Of course, being an awesome blond haired Sword fighter must make you some kind of cocky asshole, right?
Axel: For Patroklos' case? Yes. Yes indeed. He's practically a complete idiot, being easily manipulated by others, or slaying tons of innocent people because they looked like Malfested. Also, he doesn't do a whole lot of strategizing.
Felix: Why is he worthy of Soul Calibur again?
Weaknesses:
-No real long ranged attacks.
-Very impulsive, self absorbed, and arrogant.
-Kills first, ask questions never.
-Shield was destroyed by Z.W.E.I.
-Negative emotions leads to dumb decisions.
-Was called a 'raging murder' by Z.W.E.I because of how many innocent people he's killed without a second thought.
-Doesn't strategize much and is easily manipulatable.
Felix: He shouldn't be worthy of Soul Calibur! At all!
Axel: Well, he is. For whatever reason.
Felix: *sighs* Despite his brash attitude towards others, he is still one skilled warrior. Worthy or not, few in his world can stand a chance against him...unless if you're Nightmare. Then you just don't give a shit.
Patroklos: "I'll show you the price of justice!"
