Sora VS Link 2:
-This was obviously not only an improved version of my first fight, but I also added new things for Link and Sora.
-In the first fight, Deku Link was able to beat Sora in the Limit Form. Looking back in that fight while writing this one, I realized how f**king stupid that was, so Deku Link in this version didn't stand a chance against the Limit Form.
-Sora's spells in this fight are improved. In the first fight, I based the spell's uses off of his first game, while in this version, I based them off the latest Kingdom Hearts game(s).
-In the end of the fight, it's implied that Link uses the full Triforce to bring Sora and Genie back.
-Genie mentions 'Deadmeat' before he's erased from existence. Deadmeat, if you haven't figured it out by now, is Deadpool. This is a reference to how ScrewAttack's Wizard erased Deadpool near the end of his analysis of 'Deadpool VS Pinkie Pie'.
--Genie saying 'what a world' is reference to The Wizard of Oz and and what the Wicked Witch says when she melts.
-This is the second fight Sora has appeared in.
--And the second where he lost.
---Sora has only gone up against Link so far, but I have plans for him for Season 4. No, it's not 'Sora VS Link 3'.
-This is the third fight Link has appeared in.
--Also the third one he's won. The first two begin against Sora the first time and Nightmare from Soul Calibur.
-Out of all the combatants, Link has appeared the most, and has been in every Season.
Red VS Yu Narukami:
-Yu Narukami in this fight was leaned more towards how he was in the Animation and Golden Animation, where he himself does little fighting as opposed to the games.
--This was done because Red himself doesn't fight.
-The problem from Yu VS Ragna remained, pinning down choices for Yu's Personas.
--This was made even more difficult thanks to the '6 Persona limit' he had as opposed to 12.
-The version of Myriad Truths used here is the Arena Ultimax version as it's more fitting because Yu's not going up against a giant demon monster thing.
-This was inspired by a long debate one of my friends and I had over 'Yu VS Ash'.
-This marks the second fight Yu has appeared.
--This is also the second time a Persona character has been in these fights.
---This is also Yu's second win.
-This marks the first time Red has been in these fights.
--This is the second time a Pokémon character has appeared.
Harley Quinn VS Scout:
-The beginning of this fight was inspired by Super Power Beat Down's Joker and Harley VS Deadpool and Domino.
-The song 'Laughin' At U' that was used when Harley got her chainsaw was symbolic in two ways.
--Harley making her comeback.
--Harley being a jester and likes to laugh.
-The part where Scout lands the Sandman on Harley, followed by 'BONK!' and the song that came right afterwards was inspired by 'Where Titan's Clash' Scout VS Tracer.
-This marks the second fight Scout was in.
--Also the second he's won.
-This is Harley's first fight here.
--Hopefully won't be her last.
Crunch Bandicoot VS Knuckles the Echidna:
-This Battle was inspired by, strangely enough, WatchMojo.com's Sonic vs Crash video, where they explain their thoughts on who'd win.
--When going over supportive cast, Crunch Bandicoot's origin sounded very similar to Knuckles.
-Because this is Knuckles, there's going to be some confusion between his Super and Hyper form. To end the confusion, at least for me, I used the Sonic Heroes Super Knuckles and the pink Knuckles as Hyper Knuckles.
-Chaos Knuckles, a form he had in the Archie Comics that basically made him a living Chaos Emerald, was considered for this fight, but I left it out because Super/Hyper Knuckles made it a spite match already.
-Obviously, Knuckles says 'Oh no' in the fight, just for fun.
-The part where Knuckles runs away from Crunch when he brings out the Py-Ro form is reminiscent of how the actual boss fight went in the actual Crash game.
--Minus the mech suit.
-While dodging 'meteors' Knuckles says 'Don't let it hit you, move.' Two references here.
--'Don't let it hit you, move.' is a lyric in Knuckles' final stage theme of Sonic Adventure 2, Meteor Herd.
--In LEGO Dimensions in the Sonic world, while fighting Eggman's robots, Knuckles will sing his own raps, one of which being Meteor Herd in where he sings 'Don't let it hit you, move.'
-When Knuckles turns Hyper, Crunch reacts by laughing and says 'you turned pink, bro.' This is a reference to a video called 'Why Knuckles doesn't turn Super anymore' or something along those lines.
-This marks the first appearance of Knuckles here.
-This marks the first appearance of Knuckles here.
-This also marks the first time Crunch appears.
--This is also the first time a Crash Bandicoot character appears.
Raphael VS Kai:
-This fight was done alongside with Mewtwo VS Sans Remastered because many people wouldn't be interested in this fight in particular.
-The ending, while incredibly cheesy, was done because...a certain someone I know would kill me if I let Raphael die.
-This marks the first appearance of Kai and Raphael in these fights.
--Also a TMNT and Ninjago character.
Dark Link VS Roxas:
-This was obviously done because of Sora VS Link.
--The difference being that it's not technically Sora or Link, just their darker counterparts.
-The area they fight in is the same area Link fought Dark Link in Ocarina of Time.
-The ending pun about how Roxas' victory didn't come out of the blue is supposed to be how his Final Limit is blue. I know, very creative.
-This is Dark Link and Roxas' first fight.
Master Chief VS Xenomorphs:
-This was yet again another requested fight that I thought was very intriguing.
-Instead of doing just one Xenomorph, I decided to do a whole bunch of them against Master Chief.
--Taking it a step further, I also decided to add in the Xenomorph Queen.
-Despite the fact I gave the Xenomorph's the advantage of 'they can see Master Chief even with Active Camouflage', Chief didn't use the armor ability once.
-Even though I can make my own Death Battle pics, I'm not replacing this battle's image or any other image where I gave the maker(s) credit.
-This marks Master Chief's second battle.
--It's also his first win.
Loco VS Maya Kamizono:
-This was yet another requested battle.
-This was the first battle I felt motivated to make a good template for this fight.
-This is the only Death Battle I've written where I had no actual knowledge about these two characters pre research.
-This is also the only battle where I needed major help with the research (thanks for that, btw. You know who you are)
-The Prelude had a problem for Loco. Though minor, it was kinda embarrassing when I found out about it. The music used at the beginning for Loco wasn't a song from MÄR Heaven, but from the DS game Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. This was a mistake I fixed when I edited the music of all my fights in Season 3. Still working on the others, though.
Jaune Arc VS Patroklos Alexander:
-This was originally going to be Jaune Arc VS Yosuke Hanamura from Persona 4...but that fight was claimed, and I'm actively trying to avoid doing fights that have already been claimed.
-If you notice, Patroklos didn't have Soul Calibur in this battle, and that's because I didn't want this battle to become another spite match. If you look at my previous fights, you'll see that they're all spite matches, most of them, anyway.
-Obviously, both Patroklos and Jaune get a 'stand up and fight' moment with monologues from Pyrrha Alexander/Pyrrha Nikos.
--This was inspired by a Jaune VS Yosuke battle I read, not the claimed fight I mentioned before (it wasn't even on Deviantart), where Jaune remembered Pyrrha's recording in his last moments against the Persona User.
-Originally, Jaune was going to let Patroklos live.....but everyone who I discussed this fight with wanted him to die...so, gotta please the audience, I guess.
-This marks Jaune's second appearance, and his second win.
-This is the second appearance of a Soul Calibur character.
Gamera VS Voltron:
-This was originally going to be Power Rangers VS Voltron, but ScrewAttack got to it before I did.
--My version was going to be different. Voltron still would've won, but the battle would start with the Rangers and Paladins outside their mechs, then they fight in their individual Dinozords and Lions, and then in part 2, it'd be Voltron vs the Megazord.
-The obviously similarity between Gamera and Voltron are their titles.
--Also the whole 'giant monster vs giant robot' thing.
-Unfortunately, I decided not to use the Legendary Defender version of Voltron. Though I love the series, it hasn't had its time to blossom yet, so I stuck with the original series.
-The fishing boat being near the end of the fight is reminiscent of the beginning fight scene of the movie 'Pacific Rim' where Gypsy Danger saves a fishing boat before fighting a Kaiju.
That's all for this one. Took a bit, but it was fun. Season 3 was a blast, and I look forward to posting in-between seasons. Expect Season 4 in the summer, but I will be taking a much needed break from this. So long for now!
