The birds chirped while flying off, feeding their young ones, and just standing around in branches. Birds on the ground flew off in panic as a man walked out into an open plain, surrounded by trees, however. Samurai Jack had inspected the area around him. A tree few three stumps, some noticeable holes in the trees, in a perfect circular shape. Not something any animal, or any animal he had seen, could do. Scratch marks were plentiful as well on the other trees that stood standing, but what definitely stood out to the samurai was the shine of a blade lying on the ground.
Jack picked up the weapon and looked at it. It was a Tantō, a weapon not used for offense, but, more or less, defense. A few seconds of thought, Jack had wondered who the owner of this blade could be. His thoughts were broken when he heard the sound of a battle cry.
Hearing the sound of a blade being drawn, the air violently move past the one's body, and the feeling of it nearing close. Right at the last moment, Samurai Jack moved out of the way of the blade, only inches away from him.
Jack looked at who had attacked him. It was...a girl. Almost as tall as he was, probably younger. She wore a pink, short kimono with long purple leggings on both legs. She had on ponytail, peach toned skin, and purple eyes. The attacker turned to Jack, pointing her blade at him. "I am Shigure Kosaka, and that blade you hold was forged by my father!"
