Upon their exiting of the Underground, Team RNJR continued their quest to get to Haven Academy. Traveling into the vast forests, they notice it was already getting dark and decided to set up camp again. Ren was in charge of getting the wood this time.
Ren didn't decline his task and walked off to cut wood elsewhere as to not attract any Grimm to the group. Ren found a nice spot with a bunch of trees all around him. Not only that, but there was some nice space in the center of it all. Ren walked to the center and took a moment to admire his surroundings.
Wielding the ax Jaune had used in the Underground, Ren cut down one of the trees with it. "Ok. That's one tree." He said. He turned and walked towards another tree, but that's when he heard someone speak to him.
"How troublesome." The figure said. Ren turned to face someone wearing a green jacket of sorts. His hair was black, and he didn't look at all happy with whatever Ren might've done. "I'm...sorry. Do I know you?" Ren asked. "Not that I know of, but you didn't know I was on top of that tree you just cut down?" Said the man. "No." Ren said simply.
The man standing before Ren crossed his arms. "That's it? No apologies?" He asked. Ren lowered the ax and bowed slightly. "My sincere apologies....uh..." Ren said, unknowing of the man's name. "The name's Shikamaru Nara."
