I love these things. Thanks for thinking about me HolyMolyCrowley

1.Write the rules. (Or copy and paste them, whichever you prefer.)
2.Answer 13 questions made by the person who tagged you, and make your own 13 questions.
3.Tag 13 deviants. Make sure they know that they are tagged.
4.Don't say ''You're tagged if you read this".
5.It is forbidden not to tag anyone.
6.Tag backs are allowed.

1. What is your favorite cartoon and or favorite character in a fiction?
    Elric of Melniboné (x)

3. To be or not to be?
    That is the question.

4. What is your version of heaven and hell?

7. Your favorite time period?

    Yoshitaka Amano.

4. Miracles, Pyromancies or Sorceries?
5. Last song you listened to?

8. Twitter fan?
9. Do you have any sketchbook? How often do you use it?
10. Favourite thing in your room.
11. Favourite day of the week and why!
12. Where do you post your art besides Devianart.
13. Lawful, Neutral or Chaotic [x]?

And the "curse" goes to...
Hey there everyone!

Yes, yes, I know I've been kind of out for a while, but it's because I had to get a job so I could pay some bills and that stuff, you know, for the moment I can't live from my art, so I have to unfortunately do these little sacrifices. But the time will come, I know it.

So here are the big news.
The ones who've been checking my projects for a long while will know about this. THE LAST QUEST is a short comic I've been working for 2 years, and finally started redraw and colour the project properly. You can check the first chapters on Tapastic, all my patrons will have previous access to the chapters, AND, the last chapters will be Patreon-exclusive and printed, if I have the money for it (I really hope so). I'll probably post a page here every once in a while so you won't forget about it, but it is not my intention to post the whole comic here, because it's +60 pages.
Here is the link to Tapas!

Hey there, my dearest watchers and readers!

So many thing have been happening to me latetly, but instead of telling you about my dramas, I will only speak of good news, because that's how I am and how videogames have made me. So the great news are...
I only have a couple of my artworks by the moment for sell, and one of those is this one below, LOST TALES OF LONG-FORGOTTEN HEROES 1, first of a series -the sencond work was PATREON exclusive, but there are more to come!- and you can get it either in its Fine Art Print edition or in its Limited Canvas edition, a run of 200 small canvas size and 100 medium ones! It reaaaaaally looks great in its canvas edition, however the print version is cheaper and you can also order it framed.
I will be adding more artworks and Black Wood Stories with time, and all of them will be exclusive on Curioos, unless I have a change of heart.

Lost Tales of Long Forgotten Heroes 1 by MasteroftheSword

The second great news, which I expect you to already know about it, is that I HAVE OFFICIALLY OPENED COMMISSIONS ON COMMISS.IO [X]. There are two types of commissions right now, there is the CHARACTER DESIGN SET [x], which includes designs+sketches+finishedillustrationA4, and the is the classical ILLUSTRATION [x] commission, which includes sketches+finishedillustrationA3. All traditionally made, as usual, with an extra friendly conversation ;) I reserve to myself the right to refuse to take certain commissions since I won't tolerate sexist issues and that stuff, but I know there won't be any problem with you guys, I know you are all so lovely and supportive!
I invite you to check the whole info in the links attached above!

6. Not something like "You are tagged if you read that"
7. You have to legitimately tag 10 people
8. No tag-backs
9. You can't say that you don't do tags
10. You MUST make a journal entry

2. Post 8 facts about your character/s.

The baby I am going to talk about is my Prince of Sunflowers, Song the Promise Keeper:

Hey there dears and buddies!

As some of you may know I have a PATREON page from which I earn some dollars so I can buy new tools and materials for my illustrations and sketches. So first of all I want to thank my patrons because thanks to them I was able to improve by buying my absolutely awesome PENTEL brushes. My eternal gratitude to them.

So, after thinking a while, I decided to create a YouTube channel so I can post there fragments of my making of process of the illustrations I make. For instance, yesterday night I uploaded a fragment of how my lastest illustration Another Broken PROMISE was done. It is the fragment in which I paint with watercolours my ginger prince's hair.

The full videos will be only available for the patrons who would pledge for it, but in this channel I will always post at least a fragment of the video per month, and then I will post it here so everybody can watch it! :D

Another Broken PROMISE by MasteroftheSword
So that's all! I just wanted you to know about it :D Feel free to follow me on Tumblr for almost daily sketches, or become my patron so I can buy new markers and watercolours. Links above!
  • Listening to: Dark Souls OST
  • Reading: At the Mountains of Madness by Lovecraft
  • Playing: .HACK//G.U.
  • Eating: Not sugar, I swear.
  • Drinking: Water
So I've been tagged by teamoth here is the game:

1. Write down every letter of your name or username vertically.
2. Write a song that pops into your mind beginning with each letter.
3. Count the number of letters and tag that many people

M: Marble Zone - Sonic the Hedgehog OST
A: Apocalypse Now - Mega Man Zero 3 OST
R: Rebel Army - Final Fantasy II OST
T: The Will of One - The Protomen <---SUPER INSTANT FAV HERE
A: Armored Armadillo - Megaman X OST

Yeah, I can only relate it to game OST tracks, don't look at me like that.
So, my name is 5 letters long and I will tag...

for example.

  • Reading: At the Mountains of Madness by Lovecraft
  • Playing: .HACK//G.U.

Hey, dears!
How do you do?

Well, the story is short, I read and comment a journal like this one, so I should feature now the 10 first people who comment this post, their avatar plus the three deviations I like the most from their gallery.

Is a really nice idea, isn't it? Buddies helping other buddies to spread their artworks across the community
So, as said, first 10 people to comment will be featured, in exchange, they will have to write a journal for featuring other 10 people who will write their comments, being me in the first place for having featured them ;)

Let's see:

2-:iconlostandfounding: Giant Crystal Forest by LostandFounding  Page 60 ^_^ by LostandFounding  Chibi Jack and Sophie by LostandFounding

So, remember:
- If you comment, you have to make a journal like this and do the same thing, putting me in the first spot. -

There you go!

  • Playing: Megaman 4

A friendly reminder of my commissions prices and my PATREON page because I really need this wooden horse mannequin for the comic I'm sketching (THE LONGEST NIGHT I've talked about it several times, at least on my Tumblr, and I've posted here a couple of illustrations about it...
Nameless Nightmare Rider by MasteroftheSword   THE UNTOLD BATTLE by MasteroftheSword ).

It's the cheaper -and the smallest- I could find, and thanks to my beloved Patrons I already have 20€ saved for it, so if anybody commissioned me it would be more than helpful and I would be eternally grateful.

Whatever, I love you so much dears, have a nice day or night wherever you are!

G'morning my dears!

Woah, I wanted to write this journal yesterday but just after posting my last deviation my Internet connection died. Thanks godness it's working again so tomorrow I'll be able to participate in the Kanto Tournament with my Rapidash. Nice. Lucky me.

Whatever, a couple of days ago I read this buddy's journal, and I want to help him somehow.
KonstantinovL is having a super serious problem, you know, because he'd love to draw more but he needs money, and this is an old story we all know, because we all want to make a living of our art, that's our dream, and this buddy is fighting for it and needs help.

So I encourage you to check his profile and his wonderful portraits and checking his Patreon and help him somehow because I do believe artists must help each other. All artists are buddies, ok?

Whoa look at this works he has done. Portraits are his strong point, you bet, and when he paint them digitally the look astonishing, you see, but he has no time now for it, poor dude, and that's not fair.

  Gaga sketch by Artdevangins

So, dears, have a wonderful day and be sure to check this artist's works, ok?

And now, a friendly reminder of myself :P

Hey, dears!

After thinking it one million times, yesterday I did it, and now I'm on Patreon!

Whoa, I'm so exited, but I know it'll be as hard as Megaman ZX Advent in Expert Mode, a game I should finish one of this days. So here I am going to introduce you to the pledges and rewards!

So, the 1$ pledge is the smallest quantity of money you can pledge, but, you know, with a couple of dollar I can have a hot chocolate at the cafe and that's were I draw my BLACK WOOD STORIES, short one page comics, usually made with graphite and markers about scenes of stories that come to my mind. So the reward for this pledge are the full quality archives. I usually make 4 or 5 a month, because I can only go once a week to the cafe with my sister.

The 3$ pledge includes all the sketches I make in a month, even those I don't upload on my Tumblr, and my personal notes about them or random ideas I have.

The 5$ pledge includes all above plus photos of the working process of my illustrations or comic pages. I sometimes make gifs with them, those would be also include, in HQ, of course.

The 10$ pledge also includes videos of the processing, like this one I once made. They are normally short because it's kind of unconfortable for me recording a video while working, but I do my best.

The final pledge for the moment is the 20$ pledge, that includes the illustrations or comic pages made in the month in HQ PDF. Also include my character designs.

My first GOAL is reaching 50$ a month, it's a nice beginning and it would cover my tools and material costs, and also the bus tickets for a whole month. It would be more than helpful. Once reached I'll raffle an original among my patrons and we all together will create a character. Sure it'll be lots of fun! :D

SO, this is so important for me, dears, and all help I get will be more than appreciated, specially spreading the word, because self-promotion is not my strong point! ^^U

Happy New Year, dears!

Any New Year's resolutions? Hope you have them, because life sure gets more interesting when you have those little challenges, hehe. Well, little, sometimes we are kinda ambitious with our resolutions, maybe just like me this year:
One of my New Year's resolution is to begin to make money of my art. Sure I know it won't be easy, but I like challenges, and I'm not afraid! In other hand I'm not studying anymore, and I really want to make a living of my art, because I have not been studying Fine Arts for working in other different issue, and my parents pressure is gonna kill me if I don't do something to make them shut up.

So, I'm opening a PATREON next week or so.
I've been almost a month working on my new comic project THE LAST QUEST which sketches can be read on my Tumblr and I'll upload here some pages when they'll be finished (next week I presume), and that's what you'll find on my PATREON: sketches, originals, my notes, photos of the process and videos like this one I made, and lots of journals and updates, because here on DA I only post the final illustration, but sure I work everyday and post my sketches and process on my Tumblr. I'll also make questions and polls for everytime I consider or need it, because I want to be more social(?) and because I like to read other people's opinions.
So there will be always a comic project but there will be also illustrations, just like now. So my first project will be THE LAST QUEST, that will be about 50 pages of comic, I'm not really sure, but I already now which will be the next one, haha. I can't stop thinking and planning. And don't worry, all the final illustrations will be post here on DA. All the comic pages not, but sure I'll post every single illustration.
And everytime I achieve a goal, I'll raffle an original among all my patrons. Still don't know how I'll decide which illustration or sketch, or even how to send it, but well.

So, I'll be eternally grateful to everyone who helps me, not only for becoming my patron, but also for spreading the word, which is super important, here or on Tumblr or on Facebook, or whichever social media, because I really need it and I'm so bad at self-promoting.
Thanks you so much, dears, this is mega important for me.

And now, assuming somebody has read all of this, I have an important question for you about my next illustration:
  • Listening to: Sonic the Hedgehog Game Gear OST
  • Reading: How to create a portfolio
  • Playing: Tales of the Abyss
  • Eating: Not sugar, I swear.
  • Drinking: Water

Yes, dears, for the very first time, I'm taking commissions because the time has come.
I mean, I'm not studing anymore and it's time to earn money and claim my freedom and indepencence and all that stuff you'll sure understand. So, here I am! :D

Let's explain!

I’ll draw knights and dragons for you! And witches! And the chosen undead!
Here or there, an epic battle or a calm and quiet moment singing to the Sun. Or a comic!
And whatever, I’ll do my best.

GRAPHITE (basic grey scale plus little colour) A5 for 5€ or A4 for 10€
But that night he dreamt of the past. by MasteroftheSword this one or this one too.

SIMPLE (graphite/ink plus basic colour) A4 for 20€ or A3 for 25€
Death Of A Hero by MasteroftheSword or  Black Wood Stories #16 by MasteroftheSword also this one

COLOURED (mixed media)
 270x350mm for 40€ or A3 for 45€
Nameless Nightmare Rider by MasteroftheSword  Thinking About... by MasteroftheSword  Green Hill Explorer by MasteroftheSword Mare Battle by MasteroftheSword

COMIC (mixed media)
A comic page will cost like an illustration, so the price will have the same conditions (size and technique), but, of course, if the comic has two pages, the price would be as two illustrations.
NEVER SURRENDER or WINTER NIGHT pg 244 by MasteroftheSword  Black Wood Stories #9 by MasteroftheSword Words That Weren't Meant To Be Listened pg9 ENDING by MasteroftheSword THE LAST QUEST pg4 by MasteroftheSword

How long does it take me to make an illustration? Well, it depends. Like everyone I have my good and not-that-good days, so the first example for graphite was made while having breakfast, but the coloured example with the black dragon took me four or five days. And I'm still working on an illustration project right now, it's almost finished but if any unexpected issue happens...
It's super nice if you know what exactly you want me to draw, but granting me complete freedom is even nicer!
The artwork will be delivered via e-mail. Print quality PDF. It will also be considerated sending the original work in the mail, but shipping is not included in the price.

More things!
Sure it looks I only draw knights and sword and sorcery stuff, but I can draw astronauts too. And fanarts or your OCs, for sure.
And, I'm not going to lie, the bigger is the paper, the better I work.

Contact me via mail for questions and requests:

Payment via Paypal in two instalments, first half at the beggining and second half at the end.

I will only take 5 commissions at once because of a quality issue (I want to do my best!)

I won’t draw anything I feel unconfortable with, of course. And, requesting me a commission means you accept the conditions written above.

And that's all I think!
Don't hesitate to ask me any doubts, and have a really nice day!

  1. How long have you been on DeviantArt? 5 YEARS?!

  2. What does your username mean? Well, it's a videogame reference. Tales of Phatasia was one of those videogames that changed my life, a RPG that had a "title system" so after completing certain actions, the characters gained a title that allowed him/her to gain more experience and things like that. There was a moment I got a title for the main character and was something like "Maestro de la Espada" (Spanish, I played the game in Spanish), so I translated it literally. I really love that game.

  3. Describe yourself in three words. Day-dreamer, selfish and stubborn.

  4. Are you left or right handed? Right handed here!

  5. What was your first deviation? No idea. I sometimes clean my gallery and delete my oldest works, but I still have this one uploaded. It's a DISSIDIA fanart. Long long LONG time ago. So old but I still like that doodle. I'm so fan of that character.

  6. What is your favourite type of art to create? Fantasy traditional illustrations of battles and comics?

  7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? I wouldn't change my style.

  8. What was your first favourite? A TALES OF PHATASIA FANART, OF COURSE.

  9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most? Illustrations and comic pages. Also character designs.

  10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist? Oh, there are a lot of deviant artists I admire, but this one stole my heart. And it wasn't long ago...

  11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be? THIS DUDE. She's one of my first ever deviant friends and has always supported me. Thanks you so much, dear!

  12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? I've Pokémon battled with that awesome dude named before.

  13. What are your preferred tools to create art? Ink and dib pens.

  14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? The toilet. I swear.

  15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? Everytime somebody fav one of my works is like a so happy moment for me, and when I got a comment I'm in the nineth heaven. DA has only brought me good memories, I love it.

Whatever, my dears, I'm working on a new illustration, I'll post it tomorrow or the next day!
Have a nice Sunday!

 Hello, my dears!
I suppose you noticed I'm not as active as I was last months, uploading an artwork per week, but I have my reasons!

The truth is that I'm illustrating a childen's book for a contest, YAY!
So I gotta work hard because the contest deadline is in September, and there are so many things to do! Thankfully my writer, the author of the story, is a mega cool dude (he always wears sunglasses), and we have no problem when we gotta talk about the project and our opinions.

So, I presume I'll get all work done in a couple of weeks (when I work I'm as fast as Sonic), but then I'm going to began a personal new project: A comic.
But this comic will be different because I'm going to autopublish it and I'll go to the book stores and ask for permission and sell them. WHOAAAAAAAAA.
If I had more followers on my Tumblr I would have announced it and sell it online too, in English, but since it's not the case... Well, may I do a short print run in English. I'll think about it.
I'll post all the progress on my Tumblr and some pages here on DA.
What? What's the comic about? About sword and sorcery, of course!
My werewolf knight (Shu) will be the main character and he'll have to protect the forest foxes clan from a two-headed snake-like wyvern. WHAT? Oh, yeah, I already made an illustration about it.

I presume it'd be around 50 pages. I believe. I hope.
No title yet.

So, the matter is that I'll be working on it, so don't worry if I don't upload something for a while.
But I'll keep uploading illustrations here because I'm always working. I JUST LOVE IT!
BTW next illustration gonna be awesome, I've already sketched it, but since I have to work for the children's book and I'm finishing my latest soup opera part one---
You are invited to follow me on Tumblr. I post sketches nearly daily

As said, I post almost everyday there, sketches and character designs, even some comic pages of my current project WINTER NIGHT, and some other original stories, like "A Poppy who loved a Sunflower", or the nameless story about Coco, the wandering wizard.

Well, that's all, I think, my dears.
I'm going to be bussy, but it's Summer time, so you gotta eat all ice creams you can. I won't be able because I'm diabetic, so I'll only have one per day.
Life is hard, but I play Dark Souls and praise the Sun.

For the first time, I have uploaded the very first chapter of my latest story -still in progress- A SONG FOR A STAR.

And few people like it. And it make me feel so proud of it. So happy.

Song, the main character, was created long time ago, when I was 14 years old. By the time I was playing Tales of Phantasia, still one of my favorite games, and I thought something like "I wanna make a comic as awesome as this game".
Those characters I created back then, and the others I created with them, along their story went on, have been with me all this time. They have grown with me and I've grown with them. We changed together. They were my most precious thing.

And now, 7 years after the first time I drew Kotaro-chan -Song's name in his first adventure- they still are. I drew some stories, love-hate-adventures-magic-fantastic-adventures, sometimes with new characters, sometimes with the same characters but quite changed, sometimes continuing the story writen before, sometimes not, sometimes continuing the story writen before but forgotten, lots of stories in 7 years.
I really love them.

This last story, A Song for a Star, is the result of all those 7 years of love.
And, for the first time, those pages are not just scketches.

The fact that people like my work means so much to me.
Thank you so much.

I'll keep working on it, but I don't plan to upload the rest of the story.
I'll upload some scketches on my Tumblr, maybe.

(7 years, buddy, that's the third part of my life atm...)
Hello people!!

I have a really great project in my mind, but let me introduce you to it.

First of all, I haven't upload anything for a while because I've been working for a contest. And I've been working REALLY REALLY HARD. I can't upload any illustration of that work because it's for the contest and it's said on the rules it can't be published on the Internet, you know.

About now, I have to do a project for my subject of "History, Culture and Paperwork of the Printed Art" or something like this it could be translated, and I wanted to work about books.
So I planned to get an old book and re-write it, when I found a treasure: It's titled "The Warlock of the Firetop Mountain" and it's and "You're the hero of the story" book, a book with several options, so, depending on what option you choose, you have an ending or another.

I'm going to read the book once and re-write it with the thing that happened to me, with a good ending or a bad one, and I'm going to upload my progress on my TUMBLR:
I'm going to call this project "I'M THE HERO AND THIS IS MY BOOK" and I hope to have a great time and do some of them.
The illustrations I'm going to do will be generally etching illustrations, because it's the topic we're talking about in class, but I'll do some comic pages too for the book. All this work wil be published here, but, once again, I'll invite you to follow all the process in my Tumblr.

I'm so happy with this project and I hope you follow me and enjoy it as I do even now, the begining.
Have a nice day!

Hey, dudes!

Summer holidays are almost finished, have you done all the things you wanted to do?
I've drawn comics, and painted with watercolours, I've played with ink, I've saved FFII world and kicked Sigma's ass.

Oh! That's what I wanted to say! I enjoyed the Final Fantasy 4-pages-comic, so I'm going to do my last battle versus Sigma. At first I wanted to give it a digital look, since it's Megaman X, or with simple inks, but, who cares, my watercolours style will work, I think... Since I'd like to illustrate the whole battle, it'll be lots of pages in comparation with the Final Fantasy one, but that overexcite me. :iconmegamanxplz: :iconexcitedplz:

But before I have to finished the comic for the local contest. I think tomorrow it'll be settled, for sure.
