Super Mario Bros. Movie TRIBUTE!

That's right, folks! It's the moment you've all been waiting for! Starring none other than the legendary "Mr. Video Game" himself!

Here's my tribute fanart for The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)! Took me a about three WHOLE days to draw all of this. Featuring all characters with major voice actors and a few other minor characters with more-or-less significance to the overall story. I couldn't include EVERY possible character that was featured in the movie, so it is what it is.

I've watched the movie with my younger sister (not a Mario enthusiast like me, but very familiar with the Mario games). No spoilers, we both enjoyed it very much. I found it decently humorous and full of thrills and references to the Mario games. I wouldn't call it the absolute "perfect" movie in the world (some aspects of it are hit or miss), but the easter eggs and references to the games more than made up for that. I was surprised by how much I found myself pointing at and screaming at screen every time a reference showed up, lol. The inner Mario fan inside me was simply put: overwhelmed with joy (Trust me, I WAS LOOOOUUD.)

So in my opinion, solid 8/10 . If you're a hardcore Mario fan or you love video games in general, I can almost guarantee you'll love this movie regardless of its flaws. Just like the Mario games, it's an enjoyable experience. You can't help but LOVE it! The Super Mario Movie just WORKS. It's no wonder this movie was such a success with audiences (critics be damned, lol)

And to be honest, I'm looking forward to Nintendo making more cinematic films about their games now. In my personal opinion, I think the next Mario movie sequels should be based off Mario 2 and Mario 3 respectively, kinda like the actual games. That'd be pretty cool, if you'd ask me.

In terms of artstyle, I went with my personal art style, but with a twist. I wanted to try out a different technique in coloring the outlines to make it pop out a bit more. Anyways, enjoy!
