Grem Prompt 2: Pumpkin Pals...?
Suzaku was never one for noise. Or parties. Or traditionally ‘fun’ events, like carnivals. He’d sworn to keep away from Markov’s festivities, but two certain…confidants of his had been nagging at him to join for weeks on end. Both seemed terribly dour when they departed for the festival without him, leaving the stoic Grem to stew in the guilt until finally, with an exasperated sigh, he got up and began the long walk to the fairgrounds. Of course, he made sure not to depart without a healthy roll of the eyes. Suzaku wasn’t one for being seen, either. Given any number of paths, he would always take the one least traveled. This time was no exception, as he opted to cut through the dense woods on the outskirts of the fairgrounds. The dark wasn’t scary for him- on the contrary, it was welcoming, and a place he’d known arguably better than the light. However, on this day, a strange presence was there with him. The very same shadows he so readily stalked among suddenly felt a lot more
“Well, that certainly is one way to put on a show,” Faust muttered, watching the absolute chaos unfolding as Markov shows his- and his troupe’s- true selves. Instead of panic in their eyes, there was intrigue, even curiosity. No, instead of fear, they wondered just how Maskoff managed to orchestrate such a massive trick, how he made it so very convincing all the while. Sure, there was also a healthy dose of worry for the pink and grey Grem, but a little bit of self-preservation always kept them alive. Now was no different. “Pumpkins, eh? Can’t think of anything simpler or safer than that.” Faust said to themself as they scurried towards Evie’s patch. Coming in, they hadn’t seen nor felt any sign of imminent danger there, just the strange, somewhat cheerful one-armed Grem who tended to her seasonal crop. Everything else certainly felt like some kind of trap. Faust saw it all coming miles away—they swore! With a self-assuring nod, they carried on, confident their choice of direction
“Oh, C’mon, Lotus! It won’t eat you! I promise.” The diminutive, softly-colored grem laughed as she waved a paw to beckon at the massive, cowering, green black and white Manta in the doorway. Cake had forgotten that her beloved Lotus never experienced snow before, being a denizen of the deep sea; so, when it began to fall from the sky that chilly morning, her mixture of anxiety and wonderment was utterly potent. “Cake!” she’d cried from downstairs in her botanical café, The Gardens. “The sky is falling! It’s all over the ground?! I-is the world ending? Will the shop be okay? Oh, no no no no no….” The world was not, in fact ending. The first snow of the season had arrived in glorious form, blanketing the ground with a good two feet of glistening white. Cake always adored snow- and as the tricky girl she was, she was excited to be able to share, cherish, and cause mischief in Lotus’s first one ever. “A-are you sure?” she whimpered in a wavering voice, sticking her long neck out of

Ame, though far from a social butterfly, sometimes found it interesting and even exhilarating to break out of her comfort zone and mingle amongst other folks. This crisp Autumn day happened to be one of them. Plants were always quite lovely to look at, though she couldn’t remember helping or working with them much before. Even so, she had more than a feeling her control over clouds and rain would come in more than handy with this kind of job. “Oh, no, please put those there with the flytraps. Yes, yes, right in that spot. Did you know that Venus flytraps have up to six stems per plant?

Moving to a private website!
Honestly DA is just utter trash now and I can deal with keeping information straight on poop-clipse so I'm moving all information to here http://freakhoundstudios.com/featherlights Its not quite ready yet BUT its already 200Xs better than here. I'll be updating the physical trait section a bit every day and then move on to restricted mutations, then classes/lore (section not added yet) Not sure how I will handle future auctions but it will probably be through Twitter, Telegram, or Discord. Still figuring that out. I will be taking on some guest artists as well and releasing designs as I build the website so stay tuned for that! I also plan on doing a single "make your own" slot once I finish the physical trait section ;D I look forward to expanding the world of FeatherLights with you all
Hello! My name is Marzi. I've been a longtime DA lurker (and digital artist of 12 years, most active on FA) but never made a new account til now. I'm pleased as punch to say I finally did because I wanted to get to know a CS community
To my luck I was able to find an Akriri bab to be my first CS- his name Is Venn.
I just got a second one too! Her name is Niki
Since I really want to meet new people I thought maybe I could do a few birdfolk art trades? Or just say hi! I hope to have a lot of fun building Venn as a character. I have a few examples of my art but not much recent stuff so this would be a great chance to practice birdfolk and get
I guess maybe I'm missing something?
How the heck does one get involved in owning CS characters when all the ones people have up for trade are for -other- extremely hard to get cs? Being new to this community makes it seem very scary, nigh impossible to take part/get a character. Raffles are rare too and the cs (about 6!) I have taken interest in often go over $200 VERY fast. Idk it's just a bummer cause I'd love to develop a character in that universe or buy one. MYO openings go so damn fast it's a toss..for most of the species I want I have enough money- but seeing how quick they go I doubt I'd nab any. anyone got suggestions or stories on
