Can a concept as endearing as knitting sheep not coax the slightest tinge of a smile? Even the charming details in the background illuminate the quaintness this creation has to offer. Of course the execution itself is noteworthy, and there are many more wondrously crafted pieces to be enjoyed in ~maryanne42's gallery. ( Suggested by olayajoy and Featured by snowmask )

When I saw this I had this reaction:

-gasp- It's the knitting sheep! (smiles from ear to ear)

This character made such a vivid picture in my head, that I remembered it for a long time after I'd read Through the Looking-Glass, and I love your version of all those knitting needles and the glimpse of the bizarre and intriguing things on the shelves in the shop. Well done!

I love this. A Wensleydale, I believe? I'd hate to try and duplicate the insanely complicated 'thing' she is knitting...

Awww, love the little ship on the top shelf, and the wood grain, and sheep's wool! One of my favorite parts of the book, hand's down. c':

I'd love it if you would offer this as a print.. Even as a purchasable download?? Can we do that here?
Anyhow, I work at a Yarn Shop, and my boss loves it! Let me know, I am sure she'd love to have a print to hang in the shop!

This is a great updating of Tenniel's orginal. The sheep even has an ear tag and the egg in the background has a little lion on it. This belongs in any serious Alice fan's collection.

Wow all that stippling on the sheep must have drove you crazy lol I would have pulled my hair out. How long did you take on this piece? I really love all the details though! That shelf was so fun to look at lol with all the odd things on there! Is this from the book, then? Cause I know I would have remembered this scene in the movie or the show lol!
