"Hmm, I feel like drawing something quick and easy," an artist without much time for drawing anymore says to herself. "I know! I'll draw a pony! Those are fun and easy for me!"
Several hours worth of unintended work later, I bring you my ponysona! Well, ish. Honestly, I personally see myself more as a pegasus, buuuut I just can't suspend my disbelief enough to figure out how hooves would be able to crochet, since crochet is my main artistic outlet since I've learned it. And I also can't believe wing feathers can act as fingers despite the show displaying this uncanny ability. Soooo, I had to be a unicorn in that case.
I went with the name "Rose Stitch," in reference to my real life middle name (which does happen to be my favorite flower too) and to the fact that I crochet most. The cutie mark design mostly features crochet aspects, but the pencils and paint splat is a reference to my general like or artistic mediums (I've drawn and crocheted the most, but have also dabbled in a lot of other things). The red, short mane and tail are taken from my hair irl, since I dye it red a lot and always have it cut short, while I picked the pale near white coat just because I like how ivory/white looks with red. I did a sort of combo of the tiny mare snout and the squared stallion snout to try and make her look a little androgynous for the pony world because I like androgyny.
Overall, it was fun.
