Typography Series - 01 - Type Anatomy

The ultimate guide to the anatomy of type. I believe all the basic anatomy of typography is included. I hope you like it, and feel free to share.

You can now download a zip file including the file as a 2000px wide jpg and an .ai vector file so you can print the poster as big as you want.

I find it a bit tricky if I'm searching for a term. I think it would be best to order the terms in order of appearance instead of alphabetically, to help with the search.

This is really cool and helpful and well done. I actually used this to study for a type anatomy test (probably one of the most in depth anatomy charts I've seen). Except there's some errors. (??? I'm sorry! Just what my type professor told me!)

The vertex is closer to 27 than 37. 37 in the inside of a vertex'd letter called the "crotch." The bottom point of a letter like v and w is called the vertex.

Very nice. Making a poster of this will help people I work with when they talk to me about typography!
This is wonderful. Thank you!

Is the poster still available for download? The link above doesn't work. I'd love to use this poster in the classroom.
Thank you this helps me explain things much easier to non-desiners
