NOTES

Panel 4: Franco Sazzani kidnapped Beverly Howard-Carter in "La stirpe maledetta" (Martin Mystére #4). That story took place in Tuscany, where the Etruscan civilization once flourished.

Panel 5: the reunited couple in the background is the restorer lady and the Carabiniere seen in part 1 (but he sports a different uniform, unfortunately).

This is not the last appearance of Salvo and Sabina.

Panel 7: The seventeen-faced crystal is an Ebdecahedron-- a sentient object which controls reality, as Martin Mystère found out (or not) in "I sentieri del destino" (Martin Mystère #185).
