NOTES

Panel  1: a tribute to the many Japanese anime or manga where human souls are used to activate ancient warriors created by some lost science.

Panel 3: the name Mont'e Prama comes from the dwarf banana trees growing there.

Panel 4: the Etruscan alphabet is derived from the Atlantean alphabet, just like the Shardanese one. Hence the font used for Von Hansen's speech in "Shardanese".
He is saying: "Umpah! My aching head!", and "What happened here?"
