NOTES

The characters in panel 1 are Diego Plain and Elena Brewster.

The full name of Diego is Manuel Santiago Kemen Plain, with "Diego" being short for Santiago.
"Kemen" means "courage, strength" in Basque language.

Diego is 24 years old; an amateur athlete apparently interested only in seducing the next girl and taking care of his own look, Diego is actually graduated in history and archaeology, and he also has the time to manage his own part of the family's business and estate.
Only a few people knows that a large part of the profits from Diego's family company's share go to a foundation that helps troubled kids in some of Los Angeles's most difficult outskirts.

Elena Patricia Brewster is 24 years old as well.
Wiser than her age, Elena spent her life studying the artistic/historical inheritance of California, and she currently works for the California History & Culture Conservancy.

In love with her job as well as everything that is California (from its geography to its past), she is seen by her friends and colleagues as "in sync with the landscape", as she seems to be aware of its issues even before they are detected.

Calm, reasonable and always at peace with herself, Elena has the ability to cheer up everybody who comes in contact with her.

Elena has a unique link to the sum of human knowledge known as "Universal Databank", although she's not consciously aware of that (yet).
