GET A LIFE!
EPISODE 30: THAT WHICH IS NOT DEAD (3)
PREV < PAGE 3 > NEXT
Art by Filip Cerovecki
Story & lettering by Franco Villa
Edits by Cristian Di Biase & Luca Salvadei
English edits by Zac De Board
NOTES
Original art.
As stated in the notes of previous episodes, Algernon Mabus was apparently annihilated in D'improvviso una notte, but apparently the Indian God who decreed his fate was not the deity he claimed to be.
Mabus is also hinting at the fact that a lot of Get A Life stories end with a memory-erasing device that puts things back in place.
"The Goddess" is Morrigan, deity of the Moon, often featured in Martin MYstère's series as one of the most powerful supernatural being keeping together the world. See for instance "L'isola di ghiaccio e di fuoco (Martin Mystère Gigante n.8).
In part 1 of this "Not Dead" miniseries, it was revealed that Diana is related to the "36 Righteous Men". This means that she is deeply connected to the failsafe mechanisms that protect Earth; as Morrigan is one of the main defenders of Earth, Get A Life is now suggesting that she is also part of the "Righteous" secret structure.
Extra details from Filip's notebook:
Panel 2: the Great Old One's magic binds Diana to the "Wheel Of Fortune", which symbolises her destiny (also I kinda wanted a cool sacrificial altar).
Also, Diana bends her knee like "the Hanged Man" card' which symbolises her paralysis and her inability to do anything.
Panel 3: Morrigan appears! She is bound inside "The World" card. It symbolises the ultimate success of the bad guys and the literal sacrifice of the real world.
