World of Warcraft - Undead Mage

This is a commission by DeviantArt for Blizzard I have been painting over the last weeks. I was asked to paint an Undead Mage from World of Warcraft in their order Hall. 

When I got this commission I felt really excited. It had always been my dream to paint for Blizzard, so having the honor to portray one of the WOW classes was truly amazing. It was a challenge having to paint all the magic glow colors mixed with the undead cold skin tones and put it all together, but I love painting light and color

I got really nervous at some stages, especially at the beginning. When starting a painting, I spend a lot of time deciding the composition, pose and color scheme, since this will define the overall mood. I eventually went with a low-angle shot and I tried to push the twisting of the body to increase motion of the whole painting. It was a great journey all the way and I'm quite happy with how it turned out, so I hope you guys like it!
