Digital Impressionism Tutorial

Since I've been asked lots of times to do tutorials.. here you have one :) I hope it will help you guys somehow with digital impressionism. The program used was Photoshop CS3 Extended so the explanations are based on it.

Here you have the illustration of which I've done the tutorial:

EDIT: Since people want to know which brushes I use... you can find some links below, which are from two amazingly talented artists:
:bulletblue: Leventep brushes
:bulletblue: Dan Luvisi brushes

Good evening, Marta. A happy birthday shout out to you from California, where I'm just beginning my final work day of the week. I'm hoping you are celebrating well today, and that the celebration continues every day of the year up ahead. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your methods in realizing your amazing artistic visions.
Cheers and best regards,

Excellent...when you paint your form..of the person, do you do that on the multi colored layer, or on a separate layer? If on a seperate layer, how do u get to blend it seamlessly to the background?

I do it all at the same tame on a unique layer :) Or use layers just in order to get textures by erasing with a textured brush.

That's awesome! I love your art! I never understood how do you paint these pictures. It's not my style, but I really want to try it. Do you mind if I paint one or two based on your works?

SAludos!! :thumbsup::lol:
