Sunflower Flaaffy

Whoa, new arts, no way! I actually liked this Flaaffy I drew over at my local Pokemon TCG League so much that I decided to color it in. Rather than using digital coloring, which is my usual method of coloring stuff, I opted for a traditional piece, whipping out mum's Prismacolor pencil set by playing the "It's my birthday!" card.

However, I opted to take it a step further by going lineless. I'm not used to doing lineless stuff at all. It's way different, but it was a lot of fun trying it out! I think the last lineless stuff I drew was my old vector stuff back in 2005 or 2006. Ick!

I wanted this Flaaffy's coloring to sort of come out like it was from a storybook or something, so I'm not too critical over the rather lackluster background. It gets the job done and it took awhile for a pencil noob like me to do. But I'm certainly most pleased with how the little Flaaffy came out. When I originally drew the Flaaffy, I figured I'd model her after my Silver Flaaffy, Bo Peep, so that's why she has little eyelashes up there. Plus I tend to think that things are cuter with eyelashes anyhow.

Yep, so it was fun getting to this, I doubt I'll do anything quite like this for awhile, but hey, woohoo, new arts!
