YSe, Those are ball bearings. A nice round shape to use for eyes. Eventhough eyes aren't exactly round.

but i'd imagine they'd be huge, especially with that gollum sculpture. where the heck do you get ones that size? they're a brilliant idea. would make the face much easier to make symetrical.
