Phantom Lady Bound
Ink, marker & china marker on 9"x12" Kraft paper. My version of the classic Golden Age Fiction House Comics heroine. Even though she didn't wear a mask , no one seemed to recognize her true identity. Gee , I wonder what they WERE looking at , hm? I love that bomb with the skull on it. I've started inking these with a Uni-ball pen , in my quest to find something more archival than using ballpoint pen for these. A nice solid black ink , I like it.

Great artwork and an even magnificent character! ;) Phantom Lady was/is a very interesting heroine both in the past and now in the present, where she has gotten an entirely new, different look to her! :D

However, her classic look might work better for her... at least I feel like it is! :) And is it true that nobody managed to recognize her despite not wearing a mask? :? Perhaps she had something (a gadget or other stuff) which prevented her from being "unmasked", so to speak. :wow:

Beautiful artwork, MarkMoore! ;) This is a definite winner! :D :)

Ha ha... High brow camp, right down to the skull faced grenade, which, in a perfect world, would turn out to be a 99% dud, packing just enough pop to blow off the skimpy duds PL is almost wearing. :D

Neato. I'm not a fan of seeing girls tied up, but I'll let it slide due to the awesome quality you got here Mark.

I like the texture the paper gives, as well as the way it subtly modifies the hue of her outfit's colors.

Thanks. I started by sketching on paper bags (a ton of which are in my scraps). But I suddenly remembered how I would criticize people for posting stuff drawn on lined notebook paper , and felt like a hypocrite. So I switched to Kraft paper from the art store , and I find it of higher quality than the cheaper lunch bag paper.

Mark I just love the way you draw and the materials you use are a great deal of the reason. I like the roughness and the rawness of the images and the medium you employ in your work. I just wish you would do more like this it is my favorite kind that you do.

Phantom Lady! Man, I've not seen her in action for aaaages. Yeah, she did seem to have a rather successful distraction technique there for keeping her identity secret, didn't she. :) And the skull bomb's a nice little touch!
