'I operate on a purely intuitive level when I'm creating fractart. I'm in no way a mathematician or scientific type. I'm left handed and right brained, which I guess lets me intermittently and momentarily 'switch off' my frontal cortex and allows my superior temporal gyrus (
I approach fractals as landscapes or environments that require sympathetic treatment when the time comes for colour and light to be applied, and once again my right brainedness (?) comes into play for this crucial part of the creative process.'
The software itself allows one to be creative without having to really understand the quite complex mathematics involved, so credit is due to the very excellent 'Mandelbulb 3D', hurrah!!
