Take any random shape.
If you can hold it in your hands, its considered an object, a tool, a toy
If it's big enough you can sit on, it suddenly becomes furniture.
Larger still and it becomes architectural.
at even larger it becomes geographical.
You can have many books on a shelve, many shelves in a library, many libraries in a city.
If one takes this in consideration when designing imaginary worlds (concepts for games, books, movies, etc...) you can try to apply different scales to one same form, maybe it works better as a house then a basket...
