Adoptable - Featherfall
A good animation to watch is 'The Dover Boys', a looney tunes animation. It was one of the first to use the technique. Basically the idea is to stretch a frame abnormally to fill up space that would normally be taken up by individual frames. An example of an in-between frame is here: [link] and [link] here. It looks strange, but when you play though it with an animation it looks really smoothe and gives the illusion of speedy movement.
