Fusion: Malachite

Rage and Suffering. These are words that I would use to describe the unholy fusion of Lapis and Jasper. Whereas Garnet and Stevonnie are best seen as entities of pure love and joy, Malachite is a struggle. I can't help but notice a pattern here. The more powerful a bond is between two gems ( or humans/half-gems in Stevonnie's case) the more human the resulting fusion. Take Garnet for example: Garnet is the fusion of Ruby and Sapphire- Two gems who are deeply in love with each other. Why then does Garnet have only two arms when other fusions like Opal or Sugilite have at least 4 arms? Is the bond key to the resulting appearance? Is this why Malachite turned out to be a horrifying monstrosity? Perhaps I'm a little more invested in this show then I should be. This hiatus is killing me! I can't wait for new episodes of Steven Universe next year! : D
