A porcelain tribute to breast cancer fighters and the choices they face.

In the growing awareness of Breast Cancer, a disease which appears to be the inevitable side-effect of womanhood, this doll was my attempt at working through my own personal fear of it, and facing up to the possibility that one day I could be amongst hundreds of thousands of women who develop it. I can only hope to be brave, like so many other women.

Extensive tattooing on the head and a little bit on the tips of the fingers. Halo is 10k yellow gold.

This doll is not for sale, as I’m not sure what to do with her yet.

That's so amazing: the doll, but the project most of all. Congratulations, really.

My mom had breast cancer twice and I tested positive for the brca genetic mutation, so this hits home for me. She's absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. I love this so much.

WOOOOOOOW
That's just...just...just...incredible. There's so much beauty there. You're truly gifted. My aunt is a breast cancer survivor, and it has made her into a much stronger and vibrant person. (And she was strong and vibrant to begin with, so that's saying something. :P).

Wow. Just wow. My mother is a survivor of breast cancer and had a double mastectomy like this doll has. Her "breasts" looked just like above. It was shocking at first to see I remember. I was 17. My mother cried and cried. Now she is a strong strong woman and I am stronger as well. Thank you for making this.

Breast cancer is transmitter through the mother's genes. If your mom and grandmother never had it, chanses are, you're safe too! :)

I've been admiring your talent since I first discovered you. I have been captivated by the world of ball jointed dolls and your dolls played a big part in this.

I happen to notice tonight that we won a DD on the same day. Wanted to let you know because I am a breast cancer survivor. When something like this happens, I call it a "GOD-incidence" rather than a coincidence. You have great insight. My DD was for my watercolor painting I used for my deviant ID on one of my accounts [which I began mostly just for keeping journal entries]. My DD is here: [link] I wanted to share it with you in hope it will lift you up. As I am sure your sensitive and beautiful portrayal of womanhood has done all over the world.

You have an amazing gift and you have worked very hard to share it with the world. Thank you.
