You know, I almost don't even know why you'd need to submit this to
, because it's so beautiful and professional, and people have commented on it already!
BUT the Comments are all short, and at least one of those people came from Project Comment because if it, :3 so yeah... this deserves a longer one!
It's a little harder still to give a longer Comment, though because the description is short so I dunno what happened.
I really like to talk more on art IDEAS on pieces like this, rather than things like lines or shading or such, and the IDEA of this is GREAT! This would make a great promotional piece!
This isn't just a generic promo. An amazing bit gets said with this, and I have to wonder how you came up with this idea! It's so full of color and meaning and explanation, and it's so concise in spite of all that! SERIOUSLY, and idea of this calibur could promote a Hollywood movie, because, to be honest, most actual real animes don't have promotional art as artistically interesting
I love how they're like alteregos walking home past their powered up selves, like they save the world as idols or something by day and then go home to be girl at night or something.
And your use of colors to communicate is amazing. The girls in the front get attention for being in the front, but the big bright picture shows how important and colorful their other lives are.
It's also neat how this way the girls can be both shadows in the dark, AND still show them in color at the same time, and the eye is drawn to all.
I kinda have to ask about the framing you picked, as those really bright signs on the sides draw my attention side to side across the piece, like a bouncing ball because they're bright.
That pink text is really difficult to read and begs you to read it, and I bet it's intentionally hard to read because it's supposed to look like magic passing through the girls, but it's the title.
This doesn't exactly give you the personalities of each one of them, but it gives you enough information to guess, and shows that no matter what their personalities are, they all have a flamboyant side they can show even if it's only onstage. There's a lot of blanks you can fill in or draw with these characters from this.
Another odd thing is that I can't tell who the main character is. That's kind of awesome, because groups like this always seem to still look like there's a main one, but in this picture they're all evened out. I wanted to say the second from right looks like she's definitely not the main, but then when I look at the background it looks like she is. Meaning I can't tell!
And I was going to say that there's one in the middle waving, and that the picture seems to even them all out, importance-wise, because the one in the middle is... the big one... and the big one can't be the main one, right?
Nobody does that!
So the one front and center not appearing to be the main one really makes them look all the more even in their importance. The background picture helps with this too, making it so maybe a character you thought was more the leader actually is lesser than you thought, or one- like in my case- that you thought wasn't the star could actually be.
It's also neat that the fat one isn't fat, but is bigger because the others are super skinny.
