My name is Marie August. I am a writer/artist currently living in Los Angeles, California. My first novel, Girl vs Ghost, was published in April of 2011. I have a BFA in drawing, and way more interests than I find time for.

Hello! I just stumbled across The Fox & the Firebird, it looks interesting, and I will stay tuned! 
Why did you choose Neuschwanstein for the header? I assume it's just representing the castle in the country where the story takes place (because it's so awesome

).Because I love that castle. It's beautiful. 
I started working on art for this comic over a year ago, and at the time the beginning of the story was much later chronologically and set in a castle. The style for the art was different at the time as well, which is why the header is more painterly than what I'm actually using in the comic.
Eventually when I draw a castle in the comic, I might still use Neuschwanstein as reference.
