Extremely beautiful picture! Roses are my favorite flower, and this one is particularly great. I love the droplets of water, they really add a nice contrast to the flower. The green and red colors are also great, and I love how the droplets are green instead of clear. Red and green colors also put me in the mood for Christmas. The center of the flower is wonderful, and I love how in changed colors. Also, the shadows under the petals add a nice touch to the overall photo. Despite it's beauty, it's definitely not the most original piece out there. Overall, it's a really excellent piece.

I don't even know where to start with this picture. It's out of this world. The colors look so unreal - in a good way, mind you - they just leave you wondering how on earth something like this is possible.
Needless to say roses as well as drops make awesome subjects in photography, and you combined the two wonderfully here. But I have to come back to the colors, coz they simply make this shot unique.
The focus is spot on, the details are amazing, and the framing is very well chosen. Good job, this is a really outstanding photograph of a rather common subject!

I don't know if I qualify as a critique and I am a sucker for red roses, but I would like to say that I love the colours. The deep red and the green drops with the dark background compliment each other so well and the way the rose is unfolding with the red tints on the edges of the petals. How did you do it? Did you spray it or are they rain drops? I think I would have maybe cropped a little at the bottom to centre the rose, but overall the photo has a real feel about it. It's great!!

Thank you very much for your words.
The water was sprayed on it and I edited the colors via curves in Photoshop.
The cropping was intended like it is because I think the de-centered rose leads you into the image and I wanted to have the beautiful drops on the lower petals on the pic :)
Great gallery too!! Thankyou for answering my questions. I'll try it.

This is probably going to go on to be one of my favorite photos of all time. The darkness is very meditative and allows for a very striking contrast between it and the colors. The colors work very well together, and are surprisingly not nearly as Christmassy as red and green pictures tend to feel to me. This is pure magic, down to the way the focus blurs at the edges. It really make a huge impact. I can easily see why this photo has gotten so much attention.

Oh gosh, what an amazing job! I don't know what you did to your water to give it this wonderful colour but the result definitely stands out! It's a real masterpiece.

Thank you very much! :D
It's not really the water that is colored, I colored the neutral colors in PS to green to achieve this effect. ;)

Aaaw! That is great to know but you really, really master PS in terms of editing your shots. I just looove what you do!
