Wesley is a kind and nurturing person for the most part since he spent a lot of time around children and young trainers, gradually teaching them the essentials of battling. He is a strong believer that trainers should move at their own pace when it comes to battling and challenging the league. So much so that he left his job when they changed his trainer school into a gym.

However due to losing track of his goals during his time in Orre, he recognizes he as a person has changed from the ambitious ex-school teacher he was to a person who became too comfortable with how far he'd fallen from his life in Unova and only has himself to blame for it; Because of this Wesley can be often self critical.
Hes working on rebuilding his ambition, and returning to who he used to be before spending his time in orre

Wesley is normally a calm, responsible, patient and Respectful person, but if pushed too far he will defend his ideals passionately.

Bio:
Wesley Used to be a trainer school teacher, teaching young pokemon trainers to prepare them to take on the unova league challenge. During the 2 year unova restoration process after Team plasma's terrorist acts on the region (events of BW1) a few gyms had to be relocated, and Aspertia citys trainer school was planned to be the new host for the basic badge.
Wesley was given the chance to be the new gym leader due to his experience teaching for a few years in Aspertia, however he declined and did not like the idea of merging the gym with the trainer school. He believed it removed the grace period between completing trainer school and taking on the league he felt important for successful trainers.

He disagreed with the league choice so much that he decided to quit his job and to try instead participating in a tournament in the Orre region that promised a paid off house as the grand prize.
Orre did not have an official trainer school established so Wesley found this opportunity to be the perfect fresh start for him; he would use the new paid off house to start a new trainer school he would be able to teach at.

Unfortunately he lost early in the tournament and had to stay in orre. He volunteered his time to assisting the rest of the tournament complete, and worked at phenac citys pre-gym for a year.

After a year of staying in orre, wesley took a long look at himself and realized how far he'd lost track of his goal to start a new trainer school. He desperately tried to look for a new way to start a new life again. That's when he heard of the "Congrégation du Crépuscule" and their Tournament that announces its grand prize to be cash and immortality. while that second promise seemed too good to be true, the cash prize of 100,000 dollars was enough for wesley to move on from Orre and aim towards winning the tournament.

Wesley now travels to the Kalos region in hopes of winning the tournament hosted there.

Jubilee Story:
Wesley Baker Joins The Tournament not really for the prize that obviously seems too good to be true, but more for the reason of wanting to restart his life after he blew off his career over a disagreement.
Round 1: Wesley pairs with Avery Hooper, Mattie Irwin, and Aidan and sucessfully pass the first round. However contestants Avery and Mattie do not move onto the next round. During this round Welsy becomes good friends with Aidan, someone who he would later have to face off against in round 3.
Round 2: Wesley has to fight other contestants and collect candles to fill a candelabra in order to move onto the next round. Wesley crosses paths with KAz addams and defeats his probopass winning his first candle. He shortly after crosses paths with Victor Andor, the very person who beat him in the tournament he had gambled his entire career on. In a fury Wesley aims to defeat him however blinding by his rage he ends up putting everyones lives at risk in the manion the round takes place in and ends up destroying a large part of the mansion. The round is called off as the authorities arrive on the scene to get people to safety.
Jubilee Social Dinner: Wesley along with the other remaining competitors have a small gala in order to relax after the last round. Wesley feels incredibly guilty for letting his selfish rage put others in harms way and reflects on whether or not he should still be allowed in the tournament. He relfects on how he won the first round through coordinated trickery, and won his second round by some miracle after putting everyone in danger. He let his anger manifest and blamed victor for his actions in the moment but reflecting on it now he could have killed people. Wesley meets Vron, Aidan's Fiance and begins to feel more guilty bc he could have hurt not only the only friend he has made here but the person he cared for the most too. (this feeling of guilt passed to his view on other competitors as well, Victor or any other competitors wouldve been severed from other competitors had wesley's Golurks Earthquake not have been so lucky) When asked what he did before this tournament by Vron, instead of speaking about His time in Orre, he revealed he was a teacher in Unova
