What is AI generated, or AI created art?  Is it any different than coming up with random digital compositions that are put together like a puzzle?  With programmed generated AI design it becomes an automated computerized creation, an inputting of words, sort of like programming something; the machine doing most of the work for you.  Would this be different than computer aided designs and graphic design architecture for example?  Or designing electrical or electronic schematics?  The drift is that if someone does not create anything authentic by hand whether it be a drawing, sketch, painting or even a doodle he or she is not a real artist.  The process for creating I don't think is limited however, as one can come up with an authentic piece of sketch, art or photo and manipulate it digitally.  Perhaps an AI generated work can be backward engineered to then be actually drawn, sketched, colored and manipulated.  When it gets to photography, if one has used physical, mental, emotive energy and effort to guide them are they still merely just transferring photons into a digitized form, into a technological apparatus?  Well, at least I have used my hands and pressed a button somewhere on a camera.  While there is still some sort of effort to create AI using a program, all the creator needs is to think and type, even if only one word is used and typing is done with one or two fingers!  If you were to do experiments using chimps, training them to use AI to come up with 'art', what would the end product be?  Would all their random trained mechanical moves or hand visual inputs in the end be praised as worthy or notable AI art?  Or would it come out to random pieces of gibberish barely discernable to viewers?  Would the chimp go through a thought inspired process when inputting data?  So with AI works as long as the computer says it's called art is it real art?  Still, all AI automated designs have to have a labelling that they are created using AI, if not the person or 'bot' is cheating.  So if traditionalists say it's not real art then what is it?  Leaves the realistic conclusion for proud AI creators that these are indeed made by 'Artificial' means.  Now you could argue that the mechanics behind generating AI illustrations is a controlled computer program only using available variables as well.  Nevertheless this still may not have any impact on whether people like AI made works, appreciate it, cultivate it, combine, share, how popular it becomes or just wish to have fun with!
