Very interesting - where was this taken?

At the Mummelsee, a lake high up (about 1000 meter above sea level) in the blackforest in southern Germany.

I´m not very good at giving constructive comments, but I will give it a try:P I like the fact that this was not edited a lot. A photo that looked good from the start always impresses me. I also like the contrast between the softer look of the water and the harder shapes of the beach. But like the one before me said a different angle would probably make this picture more intreresting

I like landscapes like this one. It is painterly and a abstract. I am not a good photographer and to me it is not easy to find a focus or main point or centre in a landscape. In your landscape my eye is drawn to the big stone right of the centre, but I find that a dull stone because it's almost completely shadowed and the shape is just a rectangle. The stone in the front is much more interesting. Maybe this landscape and the light and dark on it would be more interesting when watched from a different angle, like ant angle.

thank you, you're right, the angle could be better. It was some kind of trade off between angle and the shading of the deep brown, nearly black water.

An interesting trade off

The contrast between light and dark looks really good :)
