Stairway to heaven by maradong Stairway to heaven by maradong
A stairway I kind of like. The fallen leafs may make it something special - or they may not. Still, it is kind of surreal if you see it for real. I hope you do like it - whether you see the surrealness in the picture or not.

I'd suggest tossing a copy of this into the stocks area and letting some people have at it for a backdrop for some photomanipulations.

Excellent work!

Your skills are progressing faster than I can make comment. ;)

Cheers,

Hm. Never tried to do anything like that. Won't the picture show up like twice in my gallery then? Because if it does, I am not to keen to do it. I could put a note that I do not have a problem with people taking one of my pictures as a basis for their work. Actually I am definitely in favor of such a behavior.

I could perhaps put a note in the description field. What do you think?

That would work, but people will browse the stock stuff and ignore the normal works a lot of times (guilty of this on occasion).

I'd say your best bet would be to set up a separate account for stock photos if you wanted. That way photos you'd want anyone to manipulate, put in that one, anything you want to show off, keep it in this account. :)

Cheers,
LordGhost

I'll think about it. I am not entirely sure yet, whether I really want a second account.

Thanks for the idea though.

Good one, this, but my suggestion would be that you cut out the B&W -- colour is beautiful :P And the trees at the top of the staircase that are sort of blocking the path of whoever walks up there are somewhat claustrophobic. Intentional?

Ah, you know. As I said in that Blog entry over here. Colours do distract quite a lot. B&W solves that problem. Don't you think?

Well, it depends. Colours do distract sometimes, but if you learn to communicate via colours, then they can be useful :)

Yes and no.

While I admit that colors have their uses. Most of the time it's the people who see different things in the pictures than I have seen when I captured the scene. Merely because I can shut the colors down - to a certain extend at least.

And I do not necessarily want people to love my pictures. I want to show them something. Their liking is up to them. Ah, crap, as so often I am unable to explain my feelings.

Thanks to you as well my friend.

Do you have any idea on where this was taken? I am pretty sure you do know the place, that's why I allow myself to ask the question which would be silly in other circumstances.

Nope. ;-)

If you drive from "Syren" to "Hesper" (you surely know that windy, twisted road, you'll find it right before the sharp corner to the right on the right hand side.
