My Bio
Hello, good people of planet Earth and beyond, and welcome to my deviantART gallery.

My name is Michelle, and I'm a Norwegian concept artist and illustrator. I studied Computer Graphic Art at the Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark for 3 years, and it was an absolutely amazing place to be. Afterwards I worked a couple of years as a concept artist at MPC Advertising in London, which was a great experience. I am currently working as a freelance concept artist and illustrator.

I have a passion for fantasy art, though I like to explore as many different subjects as possible. If I'm not drawing or working, I can usually be found running around in the mountains with my dog, enjoying a good fantasy book, spending time with my wonderful friends, reading scientific articles, gaming all night, or drinking tea. I love tea. As in being perfectly capable of consuming 3 liters of it in a day, should I feel like it.

Regarding commissions: Feel free to contact me if you're interested in commissioning me. You can either send me a note here on dA, or send me an email at michelle.tolo@hotmail.com. Be aware that I do not work for free, and this also includes "possible profit if a project succeeds".

That being said, I hope you will enjoy my work. Thank you for visiting :)

The Bachelor film I worked on together with a wonderful team at the Animation Workshop is finally released! So if you're in the mood for some laughter, tears and a lot of cookies, then check out Grandma's Hero! I did mostly backgrounds and compositing on the project, as well as handling the colour script and designing the dragon :) Enjoy!

Now that my time at the Animation Workshop is almost over, I thought it would be nice to give a little update on where I'm heading afterwards. I've been spending my third and final year of the education together with my team, working on a 2D animated short film called Grandma's Hero. You can check our production blog here if you want to see some little snippets from it! It's less than 2 weeks until the film will be done (which means that it's crunch time now!), although it will not be released online until January/February next year. I've had a lot of fun during the project, although it has been a bit stressful at times with many different ta

Hi there! Lovely arts you uploads 😃

Thank you! :)

You’re welcome! Keep up the good stuff! 👍

Hello! I probably sound unoriginal when I say this, but I think that your artwork is absolutely breathtaking! If I may, are you able to take commissions at the moment?

Thank you so much! I don't really take commissions, I'm afraid, as I'm so busy with freelance work. But I'll make sure to let people know if I'm available for private commissions :)

Wonderful art you have in your gallery, enjoying your traditional style very much!
Keep up the beautiful work
