It's actually a Malaysian Green Tree Pit Vipe, Trimeresuus stejnegeri-totally different family of venomous snakes. Mambas are very slender, have elongated, narrow heads and round pupils, much like harmless snakes, although they're highly venomous members of the Cobra family. You can see this guy's catlike pupil, chunky body and wide, triangular head, as well as a really good view of his infrared pit(that opening just in front of his eye).
You wouldn't want to get bitten by either one, though.
