The sun beat down on Brendan’s head, making him regret wearing that woolen hat his mother knit for him. Still, the feeling of excitement made the discomfort all worth it.
“Hey Brendan! Today’s the day, right?” Brendan’s best friend May came up behind him, putting her hand on his shoulder. “Yep,” He said confidently, putting his hands on his hips. “Let’s go see if Wally’s ready yet.”
The two walked over to Wally’s house and knocked on the door. “Hi Brendan, Hi May!” The young boy answered cheerfully. “Is there something I can help you with?”
Brendan adjusted his hat. “Actually, Wally, there is. You see, May and I were thinking on taking a trip across Hoenn, and we wanted to know if you’d like to come with us.” He explained.
Wally’s eyes lit up. “A trip across Hoenn with you guys? Sure thing!” he squealed. “I’ll go pack my stuff!”
