Japanese arrogance, to sum it up.

No joke. The cartoons from the 80's are the only ones that can give anime stiff competition. Especially that some of them are anime. This is how I see each of them, Jem and She-Ra - shoujo, G.I. Joe - military, Transformers - mecha/super robot, Galaxy Rangers and BraveStarr - Western, and so forth.

Well a good deal of those cartoons you mention, were also done with the Japanese in collaboration with the Americans.

That is true. Only BraveStarr and She-Ra are the only one that I mention that done completely in the U.S. So, she needs to check on her facts before saying that.

All of Filmation stuff in the 80s were pretty much US based.

Yes, she does need to check her facts again.

Being an American and a huge fan of 80's American Cartoons, I lodge a formal protest against that "hideous" crack...

LOL! I agree, but that's how quite a few Japanese people felt. I've talked to them. They do seem to admire the Ranklin-Bass works, little do they know that they too were involved in it.

Not a shock. Most fans in the states don't know the best ones were animated by the Japanese.
